I've already gone over that Dave, and fwiw a regular user builds a tolerance and doesn't really get "stoned" like incapacitated anyway. The chief drawback seems to be slightly diminished prefrontal mass development in ppl under 25 or 26, but even then their neural connections are vastly improved I guess, so smoking pot if you smoke cigarretes too might be the worst thing.

Well, growing up so homospiritual that you can't even contemplate using something so obviously custom-tailored for humans bc some other humans outlawed it is prolly worse I guess
:D

Really you need some shrooms imo Dave, you might look into what is going on with those therapies right now, good for resolving self-conflicts

If you are saved, yo would know that Christians hate sin and do not want to do all the TC forbade. The TC were for the unsaved.
So, what a stupendous error did those NT writers commit when they included all those warnings to Christians about:

"striving against sin", and
"shall we sin because we are not under the law", and
"if they should fall away", and
"lest after I've preached unto others, I myself be found a (lost) castaway", and
"if we willfully sin after receiving a knowledge of the truth", and
"the dog has returned to its vomit", and
etc., etc., etc....

Someone should have informed them that Christians are never ever tempted by the desires of the flesh and once they accept Christ they are perfect in all their ways from the day that they were re-created by grace until time shall end, right or wrong?

Hahaha...well, I might have used that phrase back in the early days!
I used to "indulge" but I've come under conviction that the Christian cannot afford for a moment to allow his defenses to drop, lest Satan gain entry and cause him to stumble. Science has proven beyond any doubt that among the various stimuli which switches the brain from Beta brainwave mode where the Frontal Lobe is in the driver seat to that semi-hypnotic Alpha brainwave mode where the Limbic System takes over - Satan's 2/4 rhythm, theatrical style entertainment, pornography, typical rapid fire TV news broadcasts, video games - is everything in the drugs and alcohol world.

God appeals to our intellect through the Frontal Lobe while Satan appeals to us through the base passions of the Limbic system, which is there to serve important purposes (hunger, emotions, sexual desire toward a man's wife or wife's husband, fight or flight, etc.), but which God never intended to remain in the driver seat all through the day, and it's no wonder that Satan has everything set up around us to shut off the one and leave the other on all the time, severely limiting the Christian's ability to discern good from evil - this is why most Christians "don't see anything wrong with ___________ (fill in the blank)".

Call me an extremist, but the only pain meds I turn to are anti-inflammatories and the only alcohol I'll have anything to do with is a dose of Nyquil during cold and flu season

Matthew 22:14 ...'For many are called, but few are chosen.'
Matthew 24:13 … 'But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.'
Revelation 2:19 … 'Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.'

Remember, Matthew was Jesus speaking to the you, not Christians.

Revelation 2:19 New International Version (NIV)
19 I know your deeds, your love and faith, your service and perseverance, and that you are now doing more than you did at first.

But it does not say born again.

The point being you can use these verses to say one can lose his salvation.

Romans 8 is solid OSAS.

Berean misquoted revelation.

Revelation 2
8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;

9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.

10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Reward, not salvation.
