This fallen place is the beast power/kingdom. Technology goes right along with it. The image is satan's perception ..carnal mind. It's going to be injected into whatever this frog thing is.

Does this say the "nations" are the beast kingdom (babylon)?

The beasts are spiritual entities, and are fallen angels.

Yes people do chose to live within the influence of the beasts, i.e. wicked fallen angels, but people ebb and flow in and out of the influence of the beasts over time.
