If we only knew better where that fine line of righteousness is that will in the end cut to the marrow...much less would be said and squabbled about here. Until then, sadly, we do our will, whether it is in agreement with Him or not.

plus imo it is important to understand there that Pharisees are condemned, but in a soliloquy; iow no specific person is being addressed there, a concept is being condemned imo
