We still know nothing about our natural emotional traits and are widely uneducated in how to act accordingly when our emotions trigger. I'll prove to you this is the case.

There is definitely a region of the brain that our feelings are managed:
View attachment 47680
So how many emotions can the human brain generate? What is each type of emotional reaction for? Do our unpleasant emotional responses tell us there's something wrong with the outside? Or something wrong on the inside? Human beings have developed in their logical abilities and also in their physical abilities, but lack understanding how their emotional abilities work. This is why so many adults act like childish rat-bags and stunted in a teenage emotional state.
Thank you for clarifying.

So, we have yet another excuse for healthy adults who would rather not take any responsibility for their behaviors.

Adam and Eve also proferred excuses (but God did not even bother to acknowledge them). (Genesis 3)

Healthy, mature adults do take responsibility for their actions and their lives. When life’s burdens seem too much to bear, devout Christians turn to God for help. He is always there for us, and He never lets us down.

Peace.

Thank you for the reply. You sound cynical.

Are there charities or churches that claim their mission is to cure poverty? The various missions are to give a helping hand with food, drink, shelter, clothing, healthcare, and hope for the future.

For those people that are able-bodied, then some missions would include helping them support themselves. If a person is physically or mentally incapacitated, then more permanent help would be offered. No charities that I am aware of know how to cure poverty. Who can cure poverty?

The great John Wesley said, “earn all you can, save all you can, give all you can.” It is up to each person to decide how to help and what to give.

Blessings.
Many people face a myriad of problems throughout life that can ultimately land them in poor town, and it's true that a cure to poverty might never be found. But the people who have been put in charge to govern and care for these people in trouble are not widely accredited with any academic skills. So we have government's who have given unskilled religious people the job to take care of the most vulnerable and sick people.

I never said that you need God to be charitable. You can be a complete atheist and be charitable. In fact you can be a totally awesome person without God. But without God you will spend eternity screaming in agony in fire. But if you are an atheist you do not believe that, so just for fun roll the dice.
How do you feel now after posting that?

Thank you for you reply.

So: Your government gives unskilled religious people jobs to care for the most vulnerable and sick? Wow! Examples?

I am aware of unskilled government bureaucrats fouling up the lives of people, but unaware of any government entity that assigns religious people to do anything. On the contrary, governments in this country, at all levels, keep religious entities at arm’s length, or are even hostile. The closest I am aware of is a local government financially supporting a Catholic mission that is housing illegal immigrants as they pass through, and doing that job reasonably well is a low bar to exceed.

Historically, it was European religious groups that open the first hospital.

Peace.

Our government in Australia is under the same assumption as the public that church charity is good charity overall, minus a few bad apples. But in reality they are allowing the church(s) to help people on the basis of whichever belief system they follow. What's wrong with that you say? What's right with it, I say. I'll tell you one thing that's really wrong with it, you can't cure leprosy with chickens blood. I understand that there are qualified people who do work in the church charity sector, but that group of people are very small in comparison to all other Christian's who are working for the same belief.

Thanks for the reply.

Governments ”allowing churches to help people” is a far cry from financial support.

Please provide a link to a religious charity that claims to cure leprosy with chicken blood.

Are you referring perhaps to some native (Aboriginal) healing practices?

Are you referring perhaps to preachers that claim to heal by laying on hands?

Please give some links to Australian Christian charities that are harming people more than helping.

Peace.

Leviticus 14 (NKJV)

14 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “This shall be the law of the [a]leper for the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest. 3 And the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall examine him; and indeed, if the leprosy is healed in the leper, 4 then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop. 5 And the priest shall command that one of the birds be killed in an earthen vessel over running water. 6 As for the living bird, he shall take it, the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the living bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. 7 And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the living bird loose in the open field. 8 He who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes, shave off all his hair, and wash himself in water, that he may be clean.

Ha, ha: nice try. The medicinal actions of Hebrew tribes over 2,000 years ago do not count as current practices. Also, verse 3 says the leprosy has been healed; the remaining actions constitute ritual cleansing.

Instead, read about Father Damien, who dedicated his ministry to isolated lepers on Hawaii, before a cure was known.

Yes, those tribal methods are not a viable option for today's medical practices. But it's in the Bible as directed by God to cure a disease that even you acknowledge is outdated. You shouldn't be acknowledging that since the Bible is the truth.

So this tribal medical practice must cure leprosy, which in today's medical knowledge doesn't cure leprosy, but since it's apart of the truth of God you have to make a compromise. What am saying is belief base charity operations are susceptible to flawed analysis and treatment's, because they don't test what they believe as rigorously as do current medical organisations.

Again, you are misreading Leviticus 14: 3. The leper must be inspected and pronounced healed before a priest proceeds with the ritual. See also the commentaries on this chapter in, e.g., Biblehub.com.

Next: All Jewish temple practices ceased with destruction of the temple in 70 AD. Also, Christians do not sign up to the sacrificial rules and regulations in Leviticus and Deuteronomy: the Apostle Paul and early Christian writers put those to rest. (Ditto, the people of Jewish faith.) We instead commit to the two great commandments: Love God and Love Your Neighbor.

Finally: please cite some examples, in your country, of medical malpractice by belief-based charity organizations. If your government is diligent, and I am sure they try to be, they will investigate and stop medical malpractice by any and all, regardless of belief.

Peace.

Okay I will go and get credible evidence where malpractice is directly connected to Church charities. I ask you to give me until Thursday in Australia time before I present what your asking for. This reason is due to living on the street of Melbourne and it will have to wait until I check into a hotel room. I figure you'll just glaze over whatever I post, but I need to do it anyway.

Excellent response: note, if you find malpractice, be sure to report it to government authorities, faith-based or otherwise.

Although not all our charities are as efficient as they could be, bad apples are quickly reported etc., including some nasty doctors and grifting organizations.

Here is a list of some of our best faith-based charities (in no particular order).
Salvation Army
Gospel Rescue Mission
Hands of Hope
Kairos Prison Ministry
Tucson Medical Center Foundation
St. Jude Children’s Hospital
Habitat for Humanity
GAP Ministries

I have to apologise that I am not going to be able to deliver anything on the deadline I promised. There is a lot more to sourcing the information I require than I thought, and I really haven't enough down time at the moment.

Surely you do not condemn all religious charities.

No, just the ones leading people to hell such as catholic charities, muzlim charities, and liberal charities run by the democrats to teach people it's cool to kill babies and brainwash children in to becoming perverts.

As a believer, I cannot condone taking LSD or any other substance that makes one intoxicated.

I know the OSAS crowd enjoys doing sinful stuff like that since they think one can live like the devil and still go to Heaven.

They gonna be shocked when they go south once they croak instead of north.
