actually in 1 cor. it does not say they stopped. It says they were washed, sanctified and justified.

11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
You may want to clarify this for Keiw. He thinks Christians teach sin is ok because we are Christ's.
Paul was teaching against sin there.

They usually like to do this. It gives them an excuse to ignore their own sin.. by judging others..

That is typical of a legalist.

as I always say. A legalist calls us sin lovers. Because we preach grace.

A sin live (licentious) call us legalist because we do not tolerate sin and come along side a brother in sin to help them defeat it

So Paul was misinformed and misinformed the church, giving a false hope to his own people Israel?

Are yiu saying that Paul contradicted Jesus?

Remember the new Jerusalem. Everyone who enters it must go through it 12 named gates. Whose names did God use? The names of the 12 tribes of Israel.

And once entering this City we walk on the foundations. Whose names are on the 12 foundations? The 12 apostles who are of the 12 tribes of Israel.

Why would people want to replace God's chosen people. Or even disregard their importance. Jesus and Paul didn't do this.

I'm so glad that the Jews were cut off due to unbelief so that us Gentiles could be given a chance to be redeemed so we can join Isreal in reigning with their Messiah in His coming kingdom.
Jesus death opened the narrow path to all. Few find it. The only Israelites who will be saved = those who leave Judaism and join Jesus' 1 religion, 1 out of hundreds of religions claiming to be Christian.

They really believe it because they have been taught to think that way. It DOES NOT help that we have some on these forums who condone sin-- or those who say we can't sin ever again and abuse grace. boggles the mind.

Yes they do! I know there is verse where Paul says that was also said about him. I can never remember where that is when I need it.. You recall?

Their way of dealing with sin inside the church is a lot different for sure. I would not say that all rank and file Jws are that way all of the time- but since they must obey their leaders who distort the scriptures and are very harsh- they sin by obeying man and not God.
I have a heart for these people, but I hate what they do. They have been misled in such a way that it is very complicated. Few understand that. It's a stranglehold that only God can break.

Not sure where that is located in scripture.

Yes. I have seen aweful response to sin in members.. We are told to come alongside, not power over them in judgment

Well yes of course, to a point tho. if they decide to remain in sin and refuse to listen to the church - that's a problem. according to Paul we are to judge inside the church. Not outsiders.

I am going to find that verse I spoke of.! It will bug me til I do! It's very clear.

I never said ones taught sin was ok.
I judge no one. Gods written word has already judged.
Grace is only given to those who obey. Its Grace because all sin and none deserve grace.

Muslims= just a prophet
Judaism= he received his power from the leader of the demons.
Trinity religions=He is God
Reality= He is Gods son.
He is a prophet.
All Power of spirits is derived from God.
God purposed in Himself.

Eph 1:
[9] Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hathpurposed in himself:

Isa 40:
[29] He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

God “Declared” His Word, “would be called, Jesus and Shall Be called, The Son of God”, and thus so Is Gods Word called, Jesus and the Son of God.

Yes--Son of God= not God.
“knowing” a fact…
AND
“understanding” a fact…
ARE
“two different things.”

God, purposed IN Himself.
God, Named “His Word…JESUS”.
God, “Called” “His WORD…Son, Faithful, Truth, Life, Way.”
God, “Titled” “His WORD…Lord, Christ, Power, Seed, Savior, King of kings.

Who IS Gods “King”?
Who IS Gods “Word”?
Who IS Gods “Power”?
Who IS Gods “Seed”?
Who IS Gods “God”?

( carnal understanding parallel, no mystery…
Trump is “President” of the USA.
Who IS Trumps “President”?
Trump IS his own President.)

( spiritual understanding, mysterious…
God IS His own King.
God IS His own Word.
God IS His own Power.
God IS His own Seed.
God IS His own God.)

John 1:
[1] In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

So…reviewing, “your word, your point”…
“Gods WORD, is NOT “your God”?

and there is a procedure.

1 on 1

2 (1 as a witness)

3 In front of whole church.

Grace is only given to those who obey. Its Grace because all sin and none deserve grace.
Grace is offered to all.

To those who obey by receiving it in faith. The result of grace will be applied (salvation)

to those who disobey, by trying to earn it with works.. well they will suffer the result of unbelief.

yes. You have a different Jesus
@Keiw

Jesus Introduced AS Son.
…”Carnally” (mind) understood.
Revealed IS God.
…Spiritually” (spirit) understood.

What DID JESUS “understand”…?
Phil 2:
[5] Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
[6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

Are human men “equal with God”…God Himself? No.

Can human men CONVERTED IN Christ Jesus, Receive Gods Spiritual (mysterious) “understanding”? Yes.

Does CHRIST JESUS desire human men Receive “Spiritual Understanding”? Yes.

Col 1:
[9] For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

Glory to God,
