Thing is not everyone is hearing the Spirit of God, forums are full of false prophets, some are not very destructive though, like the slave girl
from whom Paul cast out the spirit of divination. She was a distraction and who knows what else would have happened later, and besides that she was under spiritual oppression.

Some things God will speak to you are also private.

1 John 4
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God;

Here is how you test the "spirit".

Find out if they understand "Paul's Gospel".... and do they believe it.

Do they believe this......>>"Jesus who saves you, keeps you saved"...

If they dont, then the question is....>>"then who does".....and that is their issue, as they dont understand The Cross of Christ..

See, "Christianity" is begun.... and maintained by The Cross of Christ., that is the Blood Atonement.

This means that a sinner is saved by God's Grace, who is Jesus on The Cross............as He is Their Salvation.

John 14:6

Jesus's Cross (Christ's shed blood and death, and resurrection).... is the sole means whereby God and a sinner may become "ONE", .

So, you find out if they understand any of this, and do they believe it, and if they dont understand it, or deny it, by substituting some "other way i keep myself saved".......... then they are of the "wrong spirit"........even tho they might actually be a Christian, and might very well not be one, yet they believe they are a Christian.

And this we will do with the mind of Christ which we possess.

God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things.

These things we also speak
, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.

The Holy Spirit in me knows what spirit is in or influencing another person. He does the testing of spirits before I can. He informs me of His findings so that I can know. Then I consult the Spirit of Christ to find out how He wants me to respond. It takes away the guesswork.

Yes, the Word of God is Jesus.

Then there is the word of God that was spoken through prophets and Jesus.

Then there's the word of God spoken through the church starting with Peter and has continued over the past 2000 years of the life of the church.

Then the documented word of God that spans from creation to now.

Then there's the COMPLETE word of God which is of course, EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of God throughout all eternity without end.
You cannot compartmentalize Gods Word, because Gods Word is God. The Lord Jesus Christ, is Jehovah God, the Almighty Creator of everything that exists. So yes the Lord Jesus Christ created everything for Himself and for His glory only, He doesn't need anything from His creation, but we rely upon Him for our next breath.

God has been silent for the past 2000 years, He hasn't spoken a single Word to anyone in the world. So when you talk about the different senses His Word is spoken in, you're still only referring to what's written in the Holy Bible.

Those who lived 2000 years ago, had the same Word of God we have today., We don't have anything more than them.

You have a vey low view of what God Word, if you believed that it is living, eternal and all powerful, you tremble when you handle it.

A faithful preacher of Gods Word in 2025 is preaching the exact same gospel message which every generation has heard from the begging. Gods Words states that, men have itching ears. They want to hear something new, and they are always learning but never coming to the knowledge of salvation.

You could spend your whole life unpacking and studying the Holy Bible, and you still wouldn't be able to digest everything it teaches.

Depend on what one is refering to as God's word. There are plenty of interpretation as to what the word of God entails.

Thanks

It has been a privilege to hear Christ speak, and for His church to hear what He has been saying to us over the past 2000 years. I'm grateful for God's words that are recorded in the bibles yet I'm equally thankful for the words of God that have been spoken directly to us as we are carried along by the Spirit of Christ.
Those who lived 2000 years ago, had the same Word of God we have today.,
Absolutely, if you mean Jesus, the Word of God.
We don't have anything more than them.
They had the Word of God in human form, we don't. They heard Him with their ears, saw the Word of God with their eyes and touched Him. We can't today.
You have a vey low view of what God Word, if you believed that it is living, eternal and all powerful, you tremble when you handle it.
Sometimes when the Word of God, Jesus, reveals more of Himself to me in visions I do tremble.

It is very sad to see people who hear or read God's expressed thoughts yet can't comprehend what He is saying to them. Or even more sad, when someone does understand and doesn't combine it with faith.
You could spend your whole life unpacking and studying the Holy Bible, and you still wouldn't be able to digest everything it teaches.
Sure, I agree with you there.

Yes, of those who's eyes have not been opened by the Spirit, they were not able to know God's word. Jesus spoke truth and most who heard Him could not interpret the hidden meaning of what He taught.

But for us who have the mind of Jesus Christ, we can know those hidden truths and by the Spirit believe them and live by them.

I received God's truth, His word, about 4 years ago in a vision. This vision has been blossoming new aspects of truth ever since. And as new revelations erupt I am able to apply them to my daily life.

This vision did not have its origin in the bible, that is, not second hand knowledge through prophets, teachers or Jesus of the past. No, this was directly from Jesus in heaven, delivered by His Spirit.

Jesus gave himself a ransom for "all"—that is, for the entire human race.

Yes He in fact Did!

Too bad the calvinists have chosen to not believe what the Lord says and continue trying to deceive people in to believing the devil's lie that God only wants a few to be saved, calvinists obviously.

The calvinists are a cult like bunch of hooligans :funlaugh2

I'm not a Calvinist as I believe ALL will be reconciled to God. This event being sometime in eternity. Humans and angels too.

I'm not a universalist as I believe only a few are chosen and redeemed. These reign with Christ in His 1000 year kingdom.

We are given a fantastic dual hope. I can't wait to rule and reign as a king with King Jesus. And to serve as a priest alongside the Great High Priest in His coming kingdom.

Then to see the restoration, reconciliation, redemption and glorification of ALL those who missed out on Jesus kingdom. When they join us in Father's never ending kingdom. This is beyond amazing. Possibly the greatest event in eternity.

I believe ALL will be reconciled to God.

That's the heresy of universalism and is not biblical.

I'm not a universalist as I believe only a few are chosen and redeemed.

You can't have it both ways

The two statements you just made contradict one another

That's not biblical.

Maybe that's like believing humans have the ability to choose what we will. And that God is sovereign over what we will.

A friend once told me, as we enter in through the gate into our eternal home, a sign above the gate says, 'Whosoever will may come'. Then on the other side of the sign it says, 'Chosen from the foundation of the world '.

Why does something need to be, as you call it, biblical? As if everything, all truth, must be contained in and confirmed by the limited content of the bibles.

We have the Spirit Who knows all things and shares His knowledge and understanding of all truth with us. His Source is God Himself, the endless inexhaustible Source of truth. No amount of scrolls, books, ebooks, YouTube videos would contain a fraction of ALL TRUTH.

And the other "sign" says.....Once you are "in Christ", you are going to be "conformed into the Image of Christ".....so, dont confuse that as "predestined to become a Christian, having no free will to choose it for yourself, initially".

Yes again, thank God for His Spirit Who convicts us of our lost state, opens our eyes so we can see the Savior. Praise God, the Holy Ghost for downloading His character into us and for being the One to come into us to transform us into Christ's likeness.

The plan of redemption, sanctification and glorification is in the mind of God being carried out by the Holy Spirit. What reassurance we have hey.

While those who are groping along in their darkness, blinded to the glory of their Creator, we who have been chosen to reign with Christ in His kingdom can serve Him with ever increasing freedom. Not dictated to by Satan, this world, our old person but freed and led by the Spirit to be God's children, the children of righteousness. Glory to God for His will and plan.
