they are actually saved or not ?

in the book of 1st John. which was written to baby Christians (afaIk) , God tells the Ekklesia directly.

Personally, I do believe these things do still happen but only in the service of Christ. Like the serpent that Paul shook off his hand into the fire Acts 28:5, and...he had no ill effects. Paul was just beginning to spread the Gospel to the Gentiles (being in service to Christ and furthering God's Kingdom)

Tongues, I have never had them. Faked them for a bit to "fit in that Church". I did not last there as they all spoke at the same time, never ever an interpreter and I'm sorry but, it made the hair on the nape of my neck rise. I have a brother and a sister who "pray in tongues". This is something I have desired over the years and have asked God for this gift to no adieu. "Do all speak in tongues...?" No so...I'm okay with that. The so called Angelic language they tell me about does not compute with me, but I will never say they are wrong in what they practice as I simply just do not know. All I can think of when hearing the is, all the angels/messengers who appeared to others in the bible, spoke in the persons native language. So, I CAN see God using the gift of tongues through many missionaries and such, and the same with the healing as, God does NOT choose to heal everybody so...my take on this is that God does ALL healing!
I can also picture one of the Apostles taking a drink of something an enemy would give him to perhaps put him off his mission. And, casting out demons I do believe happens but, I also believe this is a special ministry in and of itself, and one would have to be very bold in their faith and strong in their knowledge of The Word.
So...that is my own opinion :)

Nancy, the first time I spoke in tongues was unique.

I gave a Bible study to a friend that I ran with before I was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.

He was so excited after lesson 1(of 10), that he gave me a big hug and could not wait until the next one. I had never given this lesson before(it was 1980), and I was a brand new believer.

I felt the Holy Ghost as I left his house ON MY BICYCLE...LOL.

I just started thanking God that I succeeded in something I thought very tough, and as I thanked Him, I began to openly speak in tongues for the first time in my life as I rode down the road with my hands raised high(i eventually had a minor crash with no hands...LOL), then I was free to speak in tongues to accompany my praising from then on, some 40 years later.

No, tongues does not take over when I pray, but when I praise Him.

I am not making any of this up, but it is real.

I have witnessed my Bible study students receive this experience before sitting in the pews for the first time, or going to the altar and watching couples speak in tongues side by side for the first time visiting the church withing a couple minutes of praising God.

Nancy, I have seen and lived a first century experience.

It is real as it was back then and I recommend it to anyone.

You quested me and suggested I cannot comment on this topic because I have not had the same experience as you.
My question to you is, YOU DID NOT HAVE THIS EXPERIENCE WITH THE "ANGEL" MORONI, SO How can you deny HER experience based on what you posted to me???
Mormons claim you will experience a burning in your bosom when you come to truth, that is there experience.
I know how to answer them, but I am not sure you can.

I have had experiences with angelic beings but I did not talk directly to them because the Holy Spirit prompted me not to do so. Angelic beings are commanded by God alone. I don't care whether you can answer them or not. This isn't a muscle flexing exercise. Why are you now throwing in Catholic beliefs? 1st mormons and now catholics. I am a Pentecostal believer!!!!:

Where is your common sense here? If an angel or anyone else comes to tell you something in regards to the things of God you have to question it. Even satan himself disguised himself as an angel of light 2 corinthians 11:14. Galatians 1:8
