Let me just add this......I believe those things in the Old Testament do serve as warnings of the judgment to come, yes. But this isn't the day of judgment yet is it? For now we are in the time of God's longsuffering that we are to account as salvation....the age of grace or the church age. We are ambassadors of reconciliation in this age....showing God's MERCY, not meting out His justice.

However there has been A JUDG MENT sent .

There is no peace between the world and the people of God......but that is not talking about war of the earthly kind.

The Israelites under the old covenant waged war against their pagan enemies..........because the gospel had not yet been revealed. Yes, G-d sometimes uses the rod rather than the staff. In certain times, Israel was not only oppressed but also conquered and subjected to foreign powers, like during the time of the Roman Empire. Great time passed, the Prophets prayed to G-d and after decades G-d "remembered"; in other words, His promise was brought to the forefront of mind. And then, like past patterns of behavior, there again, after confession and repentance, the people became complacent; that is, this generation, children, and those far off turn away from G-d, and once again the pattern of consequential sin repeats itself.
Like in the time of Martin Luther, the church was under a dark veil. The church couldn't see the light, and somebody like Luther illuminated the scripture. The bastardized American culture has done a number on churches today.

They are not all behaving like Nero did as a perpetrator. I'm not their judge, and since it is still the gospel age and mandate of the church, I will choose to offer compassion and mercy. Would you suggest we sit in judgment of that young boy who Nero cruelly abused and corrupted? Doesn't mean I "accept" their sin or any sin, but it means I will not regard them or treat them like lepers. We were all lost souls and sinning at one time, and God is the judge of every soul, not me or you. I'm sure He can be safely trusted to judge righteously, He sure doesn't need us to do it for Him.

Agree that the American church needs to wake up and get back to focusing on evangelizing, casting out demons and healing lost souls. instead of politicking,....we should follow the Godly example of the early church when they were living in openly pagan societies and under the boot of a pagan Empire.

Ideally or in this depraved reality? Reality check: I saw a news flash the other day in a Middle Eastern country a French tourist and her children were visiting. The woman, a mother, was pulled out of her car and gang raped in front of her children. Another news flash: a family was in their home, and a man walked into their house, beat the daughters severely, and stabbed a six-year-old in the head with enough force that it killed the child, and the blade was bent. He was released recently on good behavior after ten years. The father said if he catches him in public, he will kill him. I keep hearing of sanctuary cities, and there's no resemblance to biblical sanctuary cities, and there are no blood avengers typically waiting if any of the guilty leave the sanctuary city. Instead of high priests, there are secular civil magistrates doing what they do best.
Some Christians promote lawlessness even in the courts of the civil magistrates. All men are under the 7 Noahide laws. Among those laws are to create courts of law. The Noahide laws are universal; no man is above them. And if I may, do not read into what I said and post scriptures of Paul saying we are not under the Law. These laws are universal in nature; they are as real to human nature as gravity ensures no man can pull himself up by his own bootstraps to heaven.
It's a harsh thing to say that Christians are largely responsible for the current culture and atmosphere here. Most of which will usher in the devils under the worldly virtues of pluralism, inclusiveness, and tolerance.

The day of judgement?

That occurs when we die. That occurs also in what God prophesied , predestined,as that what is written in Revelation.

We are being judged every single day by God.

Don't be deceived.

We are not living in an age of grace,as if that means God will not,does not,show ,pour out, his wrath today.

Our age of grace is God's calling whom he will into his salvation. Opening their heart and mind to hold faith in him and live righteously.

Opponents of the eternal irrevocable gospel of salvation disparage it by claiming such a covenant is a license to sin.

Proving,they don't read nor respect the Bible.

However,the idea that we are living in an age of grace is tantamount to saying the same thing. That we here today,in this age,are not under God's judgement.

When that is simply not true.

This is an age of Grace because it is the age when,after the cross,because of its power,God is calling sinners to his faith and eternal irrevocable salvation.

Age of grace does not mean we all are not accountable for our behaviors. Be we the
redeemed

This is proven when saints and sinners alike are judged after this life.

Sinners judgement is a given.They lived and died in their sins because God made them for to be vessels of wrath. Their names were not in His Book. As he says.

Ours are. And we will be judged as we exemplify the effects his Salvific grace and what it instilled in us in this life.

So,we aren't living outside of
God's notice. Nor his judgement today.

You might consider, what happens to us in life is both God's judgement so to set us aright. And God's rewards when we are doing things right.

And it is all an opportunity to put the teachings from his indwelling spirit into action. To show we are paying,praying,attention.
Not just walking through life assured of our eternal destiny.

That is the meaning of our works are synonymous with our salvation. They don't secure it. Jesus did that irrevocably on the cross.

Rather,work shows we are saved because we now know the things of God. And serve his kingdom in his name as one with him.

And that's the rationalism developed by secularism. Everybody is mentally ill; face it. Priests and pastors are replaced in society with health care workers specializing in the area of false science, psychology. The healthcare system has been weaponized by whatever authority that is paid by whatever elected or appointed official. Those institutions make billions from labeling people mentally ill rather than criminal. Mention G-d, for example, and a person can quickly find themselves in a mental institution for evaluation; "detained" is the word of the day. No criminal filings, just civil, and everybody, to their financial benefit, joins the bandwagon motto, "Well, the authorities must have had a good reason," which benefits them to the tune of billions of dollars; meanwhile, insurances are billed to the benefit of these institutions, and because no criminal charges are pressed, the crime rate appears to be lower. Secular priests or shrinks are not only "essential" but nothing more than witches and sorcerers making excuses to preserve and celebrate the lives of the wicked or "those lost souls" or simply depraved rather than separating those souls from the body and leaving that for the mercy of G-d.
And why would you insinuate persecution of the victim? To prove that victimization is the cause of all those lost souls? And to suggest that Sporous could have hypothetically grown up and, because of his abuses and ongoing behavior if freed from sex slavery, been justified? It is obvious why, to me, Joanna Johansen is missing from older manuscripts.
I am not pretending to know best; that's what people do today. Everybody believes man knows best and offers humanistic solutions, and that entails that man knows best. The answer is NONE . The true church never once called for crusades .
