Tired of the false humility of the "were all Christian sinners and that's all we'll ever be" mentality of modern Christians.

Jesus didn't die so we'd develop a defeatist mentality toward sin.
Of course not!!
But, did you "already" forget?
Jesus died to SAVE us FROM eternal death (KJV John 3:18), by FREELY GIVING, to all who ask, His Eternal Holy Spirit. John 14:23; Rev. 3:20.

No other way can one HAVE Eternal Life. John 3:3-8, Rom. 8:8-9 and 1 John 5:11-13 explains it thoroughly.

Don't you trust Jesus' "six works of God", that he "finished" while on the cross? (Dan. 9:24, 27), and then "that determined shall be poured upon the desolate", on Pentecost forward??
Acts 10:44-45.

There isn't one person of corruptible human flesh, through the righteousness that is of the Law, that can ever live upto Jesus words:
Mat. 5
[48] Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

However, the words of Jesus MUST BE fulfilled within us, but it is only going to be manifested and established by ONE way.
John 3:3-8
[7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

Edit: and let the words of God's doing be within us, thus confirming exactly WHOSE "works" and "faith" it is, that God will be looking for on THAT Day:
Rev. 14

[12] Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God**, AND the faith of Jesus.

**
Note:
Mat. 22
[37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
[38] This is the first and great commandment.
[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
I believe the New Creature is perfect, spiritually, he just don't always act that way. I think we have moments of perfection when the Holy Spirit works through us. Someone happens to be in need of something, we are there, and suddenly empowered by the Spirit we provide that need In a form of loving words or deeds that are perfect.
