They believed he offered a much better option; that he was more closely aligned with their values, than the alternative.
The only part that gets me is the fact that millions of Christians in this country really believe Trump is a Christian. I don't know him personally, but I've followed him for decades. Going all the way back to when he was a regular guest on Howard Stern's show, among other things.

I can understand pragmatism; voting for Trump makes sense if his political views align with yours. Not everything has to be about morality. I understand. But come on, the guy is clearly a raging narcissist. He would probably get offended by the idea that there's anyone above his station, so to speak.

In the “Christians Only” forum there is a thread titled “Can One Be Christian and Not Believe In The Trinity?” A member who believes in the Trinity has sincerely offered in that thread that the Trinity is three Gods who are one God.

When “Christians” can say that with a straight face and a clear conscience, it shouldn’t get you that “millions of Christians in this country really believe Trump is a Christian.”

Everything should be about morality for a Christian. ”Immoral Christianity” doesn’t have the Messiah’s stamp of approval.

In that case, Christians should be apolitical. There's no politician that's moral. They're all crooked.

How do you know?

My wife is her campaign manager. She won’t meet with lobbyists and won’t accept campaign contributions from any business, industry, or PAC.

Fair enough. I think lobbying should be outlawed. It's legalized bribery.
