The only part that gets me is the fact that millions of Christians in this country really believe Trump is a Christian. I don't know him personally, but I've followed him for decades. Going all the way back to when he was a regular guest on Howard Stern's show, among other things.They believed he offered a much better option; that he was more closely aligned with their values, than the alternative.
I can understand pragmatism; voting for Trump makes sense if his political views align with yours. Not everything has to be about morality. I understand. But come on, the guy is clearly a raging narcissist. He would probably get offended by the idea that there's anyone above his station, so to speak.
