The enemy has done SUCH a good job of deceiving this generation, and unfortunately he has done it even within the church (ESPECIALLY within the church, really).
So I've compiled a small list of verses where it specifically says "Do not be deceived..."
- "Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)
- "Do not be deceived: 'Bad company corrupts good morals.'" (1 Corinthians 15:33)
- "Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life." (Galatians 6:7-8)
- "When lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow. (James 1:15-17)
