The Hospital called me about 2 hours ago. They will be moving dad tomorrow to Rehab.
I saw him today and he just looked like he didn't care.
So I looked up the website of the place their taking him to.
I Hope this place will cheer him up.

If you click on Our Center, it gives you a virtual tour.
It's about an hour away. But it sounds good and looks nice.

It is both rehab and hospice.
Hugs

I was a dementia nurse woking in a unit for 10 years and have recently left and I now how difficult it must be for y'all. One of the hardest things to face is when your parents or grand parent have to go into a facility because you can't look after then any more but you will find that there are good things in there that will bring them some joy and happiness. Unfortunately, they will always remember home and want to go there....

Yes, I worked as a housekeeper and my favourite floor was the dementia one- we had music on all day ( 60-80’s era ) We got to know the residents as they were, so we would interact with them wherever they were in their minds. I use to work in the community and would support a few people with dementia in their homes, one was my mother in law, I learned a lot from those experiences.
I feel for anyone looking after a loved one at home 24/7 with dementia , it’s hard work xxxxxxxx
