I have never heard any Christians talk about God the way you describe them in the first part.

Yes, St. SteVen, yes, I have kept a lot of good company, and a lot of them were Calvinists, who don't ever speak negatively about God, the way you characterize some Christians. In fact, I am a Calvinist who has studied Calvin's Institutes of the Christian Religion. You might try it; you might like it. You can get it online.

Since not everyone agrees about God, nor can we fully know.

That works for your little tribe, but for anyone outside the tribe.
There is no consensus on what the Bible teaches.

All the truly-Christian, biblical churches agree on the basic doctrines but do disagree on some of the much-less-important ones, @St. SteVen.

Many assume that God holds Himself to a lower standard than He holds us to.
Which makes absolutely no sense to me. "Love your enemies..."
