Duplicating back quotes

Over the last few weeks I have been having problems with back quoting a post. That post is automatically duplicated so it means I have to delete one of the duplicates and get that unnecessary editing smudge at the bottom of my post.

Some malfunction seems to have been generated with the software that is causing this duplication. Would one of your IT folks be able to look into this? Or do you want me to leave such a duplication in place so that you can see what is happening and advise you of the thread where it is located?
