Great little article from the U.K !......................................................Barack Obama inauguration: this Emperor has no clothes, it will all end in tearsPosted By: Gerald Warner at Jan 20, 2009 at 18:50:54 [General] Posted in: Society , Eagle Eye This will end in tears. The Obama hysteria is not merely embarrassing to witness, it is itself contributory to the scale of the disaster that is coming. What we are experiencing, in the deepening days of a global depression, is the desperate suspension of disbelief by people of intelligence - la trahison des clercs - in a pathetic effort to hypnotise themselves into the delusion that it will be all right on the night. It will not be all right. We have been here before. In the spring of 1997, to be precise, when a charismatic, young prime minister entered Downing Street, cheered by children bussed in for the occasion waving plastic Union Jacks. A very few of us at that time incurred searing reproaches for denouncing the Great Charlatan (as I have always denominated Tony Blair) and dissenting from the public hysteria. Three times a deluded Britain elected that transparent fraud. Yesterday, when national bankruptcy became a formal reality, we reaped the bitter harvest of the Blair/Brown imposture. The burnt child, contrary to conventional wisdom, does not fear the fire. After the Blair experience there is no excuse for anybody in Britain falling for Obama. Yet today, in this country, even some of those who remained sane during the emotional spasm of the Diana aberration are pumping the air for Princess Barack. At a time of gross economic and geopolitical instability throughout the Western world, this is beyond irresponsibility. To anyone who kept his head, the string of Christmas cracker mottoes booming through the public address system on Washington's National Mall can only excite scepticism. It is crucial to recall the reality that lies behind the rhetoric. Denouncing "those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents" comes ill from a man whose flagship legislation, the Freedom of Choice Act, will impose abortion, including partial-birth abortion, on every state in the Union. It seems the era of Hope is to be inaugurated with a slaughter of the innocents.Obama's American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan is like one of those toxic packages traded by bankers: it camouflages many unaffordable gifts to his client state. With a federal deficit already at $1.2 trillion, Obama wants to squander $825 billion (which will undoubtedly mushroom to more than $1 trillion) on creating 600,000 more government jobs and a further 459,000 in "green energy" (useless wind turbines and other Heath-Robinson contraptions favoured by Beltway environmentalists). It is frightening to think there is a real possibility that the entire world economy could go into complete meltdown and famine kill millions. Yet Western - and British - commentators are cocooned in a warm comfort zone of infatuation with America's answer to Neil Kinnock. We should be long past applauding politicians of any hue: they got us into this mess. The best deserve a probationary opportunity to prove themselves, the worst should be in jail.It is questionable whether the present political system can survive the coming crisis. Whatever the solution, teenage swooning sentimentality over a celebrity cult has no part in it. The most powerful nation on earth is confronting its worst economic crisis under the leadership of its most extremely liberal politician, who has virtually no experience of federal politics. That is not an opportunity but a catastrophe. These are frank, even ungracious, words: they have the one merit that, unlike almost everything else written today about Obama, they will not require to be eaten in the future.

President Obama has a handsome face , nicely tanned , speaks well from a teleprompter and the whole world swoons after him. This should not be a problem , but when you carefully read his speeches and promises you will come up empty handed. Not much substance there at all so far. I hope he surprises us and is actually able to change (government) for the better. He has a clean slate and a rare opportunity to do so_One thing he has accomplished is to kill the race card issue once and for all.Not one single person in America can rightly claim race prevents advancement in society. Obama has proven it. If you watch closely all the leaders of the hollow organizations who have been overplaying the race card far too long now look bewildered .Watch them squirm , on one hand they rejoice for the success of Obama yet they see the arsenal of race issues is now out of ammunition. They look lost. Oprah , Jessie, ACLU , all strangely quiet.Best wishes for the USA for the future. If it does not work out for Obama as planned they can always blame it on his mother from Kansas. She did not tan very well. The tan , after all , is what everybody focuses on.Not me , I look for the substance and character of the man , and I hope he is truly a Christian.Best wishes to the new govenment of your great country. ChristinaI am curious what you were thinking when you started this thread. Are you the same as me and see the worldwide popularity of President Obama as being similar to the way the future Anti-Christ will come on the world stage ?I am not implying Obama is the A/C , but it is interesting how one personality can mesmerize the whole world so easily and almost overnight. Have you noticed the same thing ?We christians expect such a person in the future and we should keep an eye on every single thing such a person does. He will try to deceive even the elect.Martin W.

Martin W.Christina believes that Obama is NOT the Anti-Christ. The Anti-Christ is Satan. (Isaiah 14:12-16, Ezekiel 28, John 17:12, II Thessalonians 2:3-4) That goes the same to me for what I believe.Obama seems to me is a strong TYPE of antichrist. He hates God...

CommentsOn the Obama Cult By: Bill MuehlenbergChristian Today Australia Columnist Posted: Thursday, 22 January 2009, 9:57 (EST)Font Scale:A A ATo be honest, I am getting a bit nauseous. I have seen so much sentimental sop, sycophantic personality worship and liberal drooling in the past 24 hours, that I really do feel ready to lose my breakfast. With the convergence of two things – an ultraliberal American president and an ultraliberal mainstream media - one could be forgiven for thinking that the Messiah has in fact arrived on planet earth. The appalling personality cult that has arisen over the new president, along with the irrational expectations that these adoring throngs have elevated around him, is really a very worrying spectacle. One recalls similar scenes of almost hypnotic cult worship in recent history, and many of these political demigods turned out to be really bad news for planet earth.Indeed, the worship of Obama as if he were some sort of god who is even now bringing heaven on earth has reached fever pitch. But before the leftists get too carried away, let me point out just one fact: when the real Messiah came, he was not met with an adoring press, drooling rock stars and loving masses. In fact, wherever he went, we read that he caused division. And the true mark of his genuine messianic status can be seen in the fact that people ultimately responded to him as they do to true Christians today – he was rejected. Indeed, he was crucified. That is how the world reacted to the true messiah. Quite the opposite of what we are witnessing at the moment.Of course that the American and Australian media is overwhelmingly leftist is simply a given, so when one of their own becomes the leader of the free world, one can expect such nauseous worship and rapturous adoration. The media was meant to be a sort of independent player, providing objectivity and critical discernment. But much of it has lost any such ability, and many in the media are now simply acting like crazed teenyboppers at a Miley Cyrus concert. With this overwhelming wave of adulation and worship, I was beginning to wonder if I was the only person left on the planet who felt decidedly queasy about all this. But fortunately there seem to be others who have not been taken in by this global frenzy. A few writers have also noted their amazement at this cult of personality. Let me briefly mention three writers from three continents.more:http://au.christiantoday.com/article/on-th...a-cult/5140.htm
