Yes, interesting.
But did you know that in Europe they make drinking water out of sewer?
And also there's a way of converting sea water into drinking water?
I live in Canada and we have 1000's of lakes with fresh water in this country.

No, I did not know Europe is recycling sewer water, ew! I do understand we have plenty of everything to go around, I suppose those who are without water are those poor places that cannot afford to put water lines through their towns so, cuts off access to it?

Interesting subject. I hope oil does run out, because I think there is some truth with burning fossil fuels being tied to global warming...at least cities are plain old stinky because of it. And marine life is effected and killed by oil as well...

The end of the Fossil Fuel era is upon us so what are we going to do next-?
Energy information Administration Official Energy Statistics from the US government
U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) - Analysis & Projections

The above report indicates that the US will be using primarily oil as our main energy source through 2030.

The world's total declared reserves are 1,317,400,000,000 barrels (January 2007).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oil_reserves

World oil consumption 2005 is 80,290,000 barrels per day or 29,305,850,000 per year
https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/rankorder/2174rank.html

Dividing annual consumption into total reserves gives us 44.9 years of oil supply at the current consumption rate.

That was eleven (11)years ago, we are not changing your habits and this spells doom for us all.

Do you have any suggestions--?

Libya will be an interesting place to watch.

  • Libya’s current production rate is 1.8 million barrels of oil a day
  • At that rate Libya will exhaust all its reserves within 63 years
  • Existing oil fields undergoing a 7–8% decline rate
They have highways and freeways and use cars and trucks just like the rest of us do. But up until now gas was pretty much free. If there is going to be a drive to manufacture electric and hybrid cars for local consumption now is the time for Libya to use its cash reserves and invest in local production of the next generation power systems. At least in the US we have the cash and will to build a new future for America and the people are willing to do their part too.
What a load of rubbish ! we have plenty of oil in Australia I have seen it caped off in plenty places, the oil that we have in Australia is crap thin oil, no good for engine oil or roads and has a high sulphur, but we will have more Gas Oil and Coal in the whole world than you can poke a stick at, but it's just not worth pumping the oil out due to all the cost involved.

I have seen gas coming out of the ground about 2 miles from my place, it was just shooting out of the ground for 2 weeks that I know of, it was like a 12inch pipe under full pressure, but there are no gas pipes out their at all, crap like that happens naturally, you see it out at sea Gas poring out of the ground in plenty places even oil leaking out of the ground way out in the ocean.
Most People have no idea about how much natural pollution is just coming out of the ground, when I moved up to were my wife town is, one night I could hardly breath for the smell of Sulphur due to Coal burning under the ground and a low cloud cover that night made the smell real bad, I am use to it now.

I ride my dirt bike out in the scrub and there are many places that blue and orange flames are coming out of the ground a Ft high from Coal burning under the ground.

Not to mention we had a Coal fired power plant near by once and what pollution that came out of that Station was nothing compared to what comes out of the ground naturally.

I get out and see such things on my dirt bike and I was out riding all over the place, there would not be even 1% of the population that have did the riding out in the scrub that I have but most people never get out of the city or town so they don't have a clue what goes on or is out their.

I will tell you all that Australia is closing down all it's fuel refinery's as well due to all the traitors controlling our Nation, we have only fuel reserves for around 4 weeks at times and we get it all refined in Asia now, so thankfully we must be a 2ed world Nation due to the greenies etc because we are just so smart, but we are that smart that we can save by dropping our pollution rates down that way to make the figures look good, but don't we all live in the same world I would of thought, so Asia can just pollute with crappy refinery standards to what we had to do.
Not to mention that Asia could turn the taps of on us and we would be screwed and millions of Australians would be set to die of starvation.

How is this for you all, the greens and the major Party's do not inform you that we have new advanced nuclear power stations out now that are Called Gen 3, Gen 4 and Gen 5 they are that great and safe as, Look it up ! but all the power stations in the USA are total backward rubbish that are just 3rd rate junk that is just total madness to be using nowadays, it's a crime.
The New Gen 3 and on use only spent fuel, so all that deadly toxic wast that we have sitting around, we have 150 years of power of this, without digging up anymore yellow cake out of the ground.

Thing is why do the general public not know about this.

We had that problem with the one in Japan some years ago that was washed away, but if that was a Gen 3 there would not of been a problem with it at all, they are just that much more safer than the old rubbish. that old rubbish it's like a T model Ford compared to a new model car, they are just so much more advanced.

I doubt that very much.
Where did you get that information?

China Aims to Spend at Least $360 Billion on Renewable Energy by 2020

China intends to spend more than $360 billion through 2020 on renewable power sources like solar and wind, the government’s energy agency said on Thursday.

The country’s National Energy Administration laid out a plan to dominate one of the world’s fastest-growing industries, just at a time when the United States is set to take the opposite tack as Donald J. Trump, a climate-change doubter, prepares to assume the presidency.

The agency said in a statement that China would create more than 13 million jobs in the renewable energy sector by 2020, curb the growth of greenhouse gasses that contribute to global warming and reduce the amount of soot that in recent days has blanketed Beijing and other Chinese cities in a noxious cloud of smog.

China surpassed the United States a decade ago as the world’s biggest emitter of greenhouse gasses, and now discharges about twice as much. For years, its oil and coal industries prospered under powerful political patrons and the growth-above-anything mantra

2017 China Electric Car Sales Blow World Out Of The Water — BAIC EC-Series Is A Superstar
The rise and rise of the Chinese plug-in electric vehicle (PEV) market is unstoppable, with yet another record performance in December. A total of 102,000 new passenger PEVs were registered last month, up 130% year over year. Yes, that was just December, and it pulled the year-to-date count to over 600,000 units, up 71% compared to 2016.

As consequence of this rapid growth, in December, the PEV share hit a record 3.3% market share of the entire Chinese auto market, while the entire 2017 PEV market share ended at 2.1%. That’s firmly ahead of last year’s score (1.5%) and above the USA (1.2%) and Europe (~1.9%).

The Chinese PEV market represented roughly half of the 1.2 million plug-ins sold worldwide in 2017, while Chinese
carmakers made 47% of all PEVs sold last year.

China is the world's leading country in electricity production from renewable energy sources, with over double the generation of the second-ranking country, the United States.[citation needed] In 2013 the country had a total capacity of 378 GW of renewable power, mainly from hydroelectric and wind power. China's renewable energy sector is growing faster than its fossil fuels and nuclear power capacity.

Although China currently has the world's largest installed capacity of hydro, solar and wind power, its energy needs are so large that in 2013 renewables provided just a little over 20% of its power generation, with most of the remainder provided by traditional coal power facilities.[1] Nevertheless, the share of renewable sources in the energy mix had been gradually rising from 2013.

China sees renewables as a source of energy security and not just only to reduce carbon emission.[2]China’s Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Air Pollution issued by China’s State Council in September 2013, illustrates the government's desire to increase the share of renewables in China’s energy mix.[3] Unlike oil, coal and gas, the supplies of which are finite and subject to geopolitical tensions, renewable energy systems can be built and used wherever there is sufficient water, wind, and sun.[4]

As Chinese renewable manufacturing has grown, the costs of renewable energy technologies have dropped dramatically. Innovation has helped, but the main driver of reduced costs has been market expansion.[4] In 2015 China became the world's largest producer of photovoltaic power, with 43 GW of total installed capacity.[5][6] From 2005 to 2014, production of solar cells in China has expanded 100-fold.[4]

China is joining France and Britain in announcing plans to end sales of gasoline and diesel cars.

China's industry ministry is developing a timetable to end production and sale of traditional fuel cars and will promote development of electric technology, state media on Sunday cited a Cabinet official as saying.

France and Britain announced in July they will stop sales of gasoline and diesel automobiles by 2040 as part of efforts to reduce pollution and carbon emissions that contribute to global warming.

Communist leaders also want to curb China's growing appetite for imported oil and see electric cars as a promising industry in which their country can take an early lead.

China passed the United States last year as the biggest electric car market. Sales of electrics and gasoline-electric hybrids rose 50 percent over 2015 to 336,000 vehicles, or 40 percent of global demand. U.S. sales totaled 159,620.

All promises, Tooltocare.
No solid links.
Just a paste and copy job from who knows where.
No facts.

And you still failed to tell me what Trump has to do with it.

Maybe you should spit your gall on political forums?

The end of the:) Fossil Fuel era is upon us so what are we going to do next-?

Trust In the Lord. :)

Oil out of flinty rock, is one of Gods treasures given for mans discovery.

We KNOW "men" have found, claimed, controlled, bought, sold, fought over, oil out of Flinty rock....

AND...those same "men" perpetuate the "supposed" value of "worthless monetary units"....and perpetuate fear (of supposed "shortages" of oil), in men of the world who enjoy using the end product of refined oil.

Remember God created and made all things, and regardless of who claims authority and control over, air, water, land, skies, minerals, gold, etc......it all belongs to God and will be no more, AT Gods dictation, not mans.

:)

Have no worries.

Renewable update---

Monaco—

Since 1994, the Government has been encouraging the use of clean energy vehicles in the Principality, in particular by granting purchasing subsidies. The Government wished to adapt the scale of subsidies to take account of the increased availability of hybrid versions, as this had led to the granting of subsidies to vehicles that cause too much pollution. With this in mind, the State took note of incentive schemes in operation in neighbouring countries, especially in France. It also demonstrated a more proactive policy, modifying these policies to suit the needs of Monaco – a step that continues to favour electric technology.

In this new scheme, subsidies for electric vehicles are still 30% of the purchase price including all taxes, with a ceiling of 9,000 Euros. There is a ceiling of 3,000 Euros for two-wheeled vehicles.

Electric vehicles also benefit from specific advantages, such as free recharging at the 574 charging points in public car parks, and at the fast and semi-fast charging points on public roads: at the lower end of Rue Grimaldi, on Place des Moulins and at 24 Avenue de Fontvieille (in front of the Single Buoy Mooring building). They also have their own special identification, "VE" (for véhicule électrique - electric vehicle), which offers free on-street parking in Monaco and a free annual sticker.

I'm sure Trump is fully aware of this. But that does not mean he should implement a socialistic idea.

The world is consuming the "finite" amount of oil at a rate that will exhaust all the known reserves in the next 20-30 years.
China realized this and is now committed to converting to renewable s, setting the use of oil aside.
Monaco realized this and is now committed to converting to renewable s, setting the use of oil aside.
Russia realized this and is now committed to converting to renewable s, setting the use of oil aside.
Other countries realized this and is now committed to converting to renewable s, setting the use of oil aside.
Trump on the other hand could care less. If the price of gasoline goes to $10 a gallon so what, I'm using government transportation and the dump taxpayers are paying my energy bills.,.,lol

Personally I could care less what da trumpit does or doesn't do about our energy needs. The natural course of supply and demand will do its thing regardless of what our government does.
Having said that, the moral thing to do is let the public know what is ahead of us; if we do nothing until its to late----
and again I must add, da trumpit could care less &&&&& this has nothing to do with some socialistic idea.
btw: I truly doubt that you even know what the definition of socialistic is.

"Socialist" means that Big Brother (totalitarian government or the EU gangsters) decides what is good for everyone else, but the guys at the top skim the cream for themselves and their buddies.
