That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Rom 10)

These verses teach that if we do not believe unto the righteousness of God, then neither are we believing Jesus with the heart, that He is risen from the dead. They both believing is necessary to be saved by God through the faith of Jesus.

The Bible is saying that if we do not believe that we too can do God's righteousness and walk as He walked in this life, then our hearts are not believing Jesus nor His resurrection. According to the Bible, we cannot separate doing righteousness from the heart from believing from the heart unto salvation.

The faith of Jesus in our heart that saves our soul, is the same faith by which do righteousness as He does. If we do not believe in doing the latter, than we do not have the former in our heart. In that case, the Bible says our faith is only by hearing, and not by doing the word.

It's the kind of knowledge-only faith that only believes such things as the resurrection and living righteously as Jesus, are theoretically possible, like UFOs and an idealized idol, but it's not the faith from the heart that we actually live by.

The Christians that do not believe from the heart it is possible to walk as Jesus walked in this life, also teach by that unbelief, that all Christians will continue to do unrighteousness until the end of this life. They are not teaching the saving faith of Jesus in the Bible that is unto righteousness, but they teach a saving faith of their own that is unto unrighteousness.
