WRONG.Your the one making the claim that Mary was a lifelong virgin.
Therefore the onus is on you to prove that.
Can you please show me where the bible teaches that Mary was a perpetual virgin?
I can't find it anywhere
It's already been shown where it says that Jesus had siblings. Your translation of Greek cannot be trusted.
Besides even if you were right about the Greek translation it's not conclusive proof. It still leaves a great possibility that they are talking about brothers and sisters and not cousins.
And this next verse is clear as day, even a child can understand what "until" means.
But Joseph did not have sexual relations with her until her son was born. And he named him Jesus. - Matthew 1:25 ERV
The doubt that you guys try to cast onto that verse is very weak and not conclusive.
So there is much scripture showing that Mary was not a lifelong virgin and it can't be conclusively refuted. You can only try and put a tiny bit of doubt onto them.
But there is no scripture telling us Mary was a lifelong virgin. The NT authors would of told us that if it was the case but they never did
That’s NOT how a debate works. THIS is the progression of this debate so far:
1. I read several posts which claimed that Mary has children by showing Bible verses that had NOTHING to do with Mary having other children.
2. I responded to this UNBIBLICAL invention by offering Biblical, linguistic and historical evidence that the “Adelphoi” mentioned were the children of a different Mary, who was a kinswoman of Mary, mother of Jesus. She was married to a man named Clopas/Alphaeus.
I then challenged you guys to who me where the Bible claims that these were children of Mary, mother of Jesus.
3. For the last 7 or 8 pages of posts – NONE of you have answered this challenge. Instead, you keep demanding that I show YOU proof that she didn’t have children. It’s nothing but a mass deflection
By the most rudimentary rules of debate – that ball is in YOUR court – NOT mine.
I’m STILL waiting for ONE of you to provide an answer to my initial challenge . . .
