@Cristo Rei I think you are getting Greater Melbourne mixed up with regional Victoria, I am pretty sure there is still no indoor dining in Greater Melbourne.

Ey don't be sad... We're worse in many ways... For example our conservative party has been cancelled... The left have a carte blanche...
Our lockdowns have been the longest and strictest in the western world... Curfews, can't travel more than 5kms, and our cases are a fraction of yours... They've even bordered our city calling it the "ring of steel"... Like the iron curtain... Anyone caught trying to defect will be fine 5k and sent to the gulag

Yeah if the dems had it their way, we'd be the same I think. Biden is running for pres. and he admitted to wanting to lock everyone down in his debate with Trump.

Currently hospitality venues may seat up to 20 people indoors and 50 people outdoors while religious gatherings are limited to 10 people outdoors or indoor services for one household

@Cristo Rei

Here you go.

Proof.

https://7news.com.au/lifestyle/heal...easing-in-melbourne-from-november-1-c-1407149

Hospitality was originally going to be allowed to open again on first of November, however they are planning to bring those easing of restrictions forward to after Sunday if all goes well.

Ye ok proof of what... Proof that churches are remaining closed and that hospitality is opening up to the specs i provided...

And with the church now officially opposed to this it is really a choice now between government and church... Andrews or God

@Josho how can u trust this government who has been so notoriously corrupt and anti-Christian in recent years???

How can u condone 50 people getting pissed in a bar over our Church???
Your condoning shooting galleries for the junkies of Melbourne to safely inject their drugs... But not church???

I know... Your political affiliation has trapped you like it trapped my sis unfortunately...

Here you go look what restrictions were eased after October 18th, dining indoors was not one of them.

This is straight from the government's DHHS website.

You gave this quote, which is currently fake news for hospitality venues in Melbourne.

I just gave you information from the government's DHHS website which has the correct information on current restrictions.

Indoor dining is still closed.

Ive already conceded that... Weather its the 1st or now is not the issue... The issue is the opposition of the church... For the 10th time
Which you refuse to address

While u rely on your government and media sources i rely on the letter sent by the Archbishop of Melbourne
People of faith deserve hope, not exile: Archbishop Comensoli

As well as an open letter from many bishops
An Open Letter to the Premier from the Catholic Bishops of Victoria

And on the side, a petition of 12,000 backed by the Presbyterian Church of Victoria, Islamic Council of Victoria, Hindu Council of Australia and the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia.

Your didn't listen to the reasoning given by the pastor in the video either...

Now now lets settle down.

As for Regional Victoria as of 18th October 11:59pm

Department of Health and Human Services Victoria | Summary of changes to restrictions for metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria

  • Outdoor religious gatherings are allowed for up to 20 people plus one faith leader. This replaces the limit of ten people. This includes ceremonies, with no sharing of food, drink, crockery, utensils, vessels or other equipment by participants.
  • The limits of people in restaurants and cafes increases. You can have up to 70 people outdoors and up to 10 people per indoor space with a maximum of 40 people per venue indoors. The two and four square metre rules apply. Indoor spaces must be separated by permanent structures (should reach floor to ceiling or be at least 2.1 metres high) or be a discrete area of the premises. Businesses must continue to ensure people from metropolitan Melbourne do not eat-in.

Now should this be the case in Regional Victoria? No it shouldn't, they should be both treated equally.

But then we must remember that Australia's government whether state or federal in all states and territories is secular, they are Secular governments, it is not a Christian government, even though there are still Christian politicians in the government, they are there to serve all Australian citizens and not just Christians. If you want something closer to a Christian government, what do you do? Well you go live in Vanuatu. ;)

However in Melbourne's current restrictions Religious gatherings do currently have a little more freedom than hospitality venues.

The Catholic Church in Melbourne of St John, were doing rotating outdoor services of 5 people.

But all of this does not effect our ability to be practicing Christians, meeting with one another is where the 2 or 3 are gathered and that includes the Holy Spirit.

And we still have the freedom of online services, remembering as Christians we are a Spiritual people with the Holy Spirit living in us, we do not necessarily have to be somewhere physically to be able to connect with others. When you watch a service online, or take part in a Church service online, you can still be there in the Spirit. ;)

Do u acknowledge that Victorian authorities have been corrupt in recent years???
Plotting against the Church to wrongfully convict Cardinal George Pell who suffered over 400 days behind bars???

Do you acknowledge our government did that??? If so how can u continue to trust them???
Thats one solid alliance... loL

We are to obey God and we are to obey the government as instructed in the Bible, the authorities currently have laws to keep us safe during a global pandemic, these aren't bad laws and they aren't evil laws, they don't go against us, these laws are there to protect us.

The order or "Christian" view of hierachy if you would like to call it. Goes something like this, with God at the top, God is the highest.

God -> Government (including authorities such as the police) -> then there is us -> then there is all other creation.

Now if the Government was telling us to do something against our Christian faith, we of course don't do it, because God is higher.

But that is not the current situation for us.

You are at a crossroads my friend... Throw away the politics cos God isn't on the left or the right...
Government wants church closed... Church leaders want it open... Choose wisely...

Read this scripture carefully...
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.- Ephesians 6:12
