First, Happy 2020 to all believers!! My first thoughts, being in this new year, is how incredibly awesome and strengthening it is to know that in a split second we could be in God's (Jesus Christ) presence! If for a reason we were to depart our physical (earthly) body,

2 Corinthians 5:6-8

6. So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, 7. for we walk by faith, not by sight. 8. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.

However, we know this is temporary (just our soul/spirit, not our glorified bodies), but better than the alternative,

Luke 16: 23
23 The rich man also died and was buried, and in Hades, being in torment,he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham far off and Lazarus at his side.

We also know Hades is temporary. Therefore, after physical death on earth, a person will reside temporarily in Heaven (with Jesus) or Hades (away from Jesus). However, those in Heaven will not yet have received their Glorified bodies and those in Hades will have not yet been sent to the lake of fire. Nevertheless, your eternal destination has been chosen by either your belief (John 3:16) in Jesus Christ or your unbelief in Jesus Christ.

1 Thessalonians 4:13–17, Revelations 21:1–22:21, where believers finally get their Glorified bodies.

Revelation 20:11–15, where unbelievers are judged and cast into the lake of fire.

2020 definitely needs to be the year that we all pray for each other, and unbelievers, more than ever!

The Lord Jesus Christ ONLY, is Worthy of all our Praise and Worship!
Eternity is a Very long Time!

Yes! The judgment of God was/is IN THE Person of Jesus Christ Himself. As you did quote John 3:16, that was God the Father's desire and directive. However, the manifestation of it were/are the words of Christ in John 3:18. There are no other future words of judgment!

Spiritually speaking, the words of John 3:18 IS THE Great White Throne Judgment. For all who do remain in unbelief, they ARE condemned ALREADY.

It matters not of how many "books were opened". Whosoever WAS NOT FOUND in the "book of Life", who is Jesus, they are "condemned already".
Therefore, having no other place of residence but the grave/pit, IT AND THEY shall be burned up with the earth, melting in fervent heat by the visible return of Christ, by the Glory of His Eternal FIERY presence.

No, I believe that there is only one Judgement Day, and if people are residing in either Hades or in Jesus' presence immediately after death, then that clearly implies that they have been judged already. That is, they undeniably know their eternal fate.
Any passages that support soul-awake, are solely implicit, and it's extremely bad exegesis to develop a doctrine based exclusively on implicit proof-text.
Sleep is analogous to dormant and latent, not animated or vivified. And sleep is always used in an explicit manner to refer to those dead in Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, which you strangely quoted, is the quintessential eschatological passage, on the issue. It is as didactic as they come, and should override all other implied and inferred references.
The parable of Lazarus & the Rich Man, is both implicit and allegorical. Jesus is talking about the imminence required in accepting his Messiaship, and that they are no excuses to reject it. And secondly, there is not one plausible aspect to the allegory. There is neither any visual or oral communication between the two realms, water on one's tongue will not alleviate the suffering, one cannot reach their finger between the chasm that exists between the two domains. The Parable is completely hypothetical and allegorical. Not intended for eschatological indoctrination.
