It is written in Isaiah:

Isaiah 9:6

He speaks through the Bible.

He speaks to me in a variety of ways; through nature, through the bible, through other people, through songs, and sometimes directly into my spirit.

That is because your not a disciple of Christ.

Luke 14:26

God speaks through His Spirit.

He does speak through his Spirit but the Spirit can use the bible or any number of other ways to speak to us.

And @Bible Jim he doesn't point an angry finger. He deals with us with love and grace. Finger pointing gives Him a bad name.

True, He came the first time as a suffering servant, which Isaiah 53 describes Him as. He came with a sword ( the Word of God) which divides people.
But we also hear these words: Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27

We hate sin and the world, but we also have this inner peace knowing that God is sovereign and has everything moving along as it should. Judgment Day is coming. The Messiah you've been waiting for will soon be revealed to you. "Every eye will see Him". You will mourn on that day realizing that it was Jesus all along.
