Let's do that. Oh, and good morning to you!
Let's begin reading....
5What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. 6I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. 1 Corinthians 3:5-9
This is about the servants of God—God's co-workers—laboring in the field and building of God, which Paul says is 'you' (vs.9), meaning, in this case, the Corinthians. They are the field and building of God. Paul and Apollos, and whoever else, are assigned each his own task of laboring among the Corinthians. Some plant, some water, but the purpose is the same for all. And each laborer will be rewarded according to his own labor among the Corinthians (or any other field and building of God).
Pretty straightforward, right? The minister of God works where God has assigned him, planting and watering the field of God, and building the building of God, and he will be rewarded
according to his labor. Paul and Apollos are the laborers, and the Corinthians are their work. I don't think you have any disagreement so far, right?
