a man born a moron or mentally deficient, especially like us after the fall cannot possibly have free will imho - plead not guilty and hope for mercy or go to hell - twinc
Hi aspen,I think we can confess our sins only if we are approached by Chrost first - we cannot approach the Tree of Life on our own
Really? Faith is required? Faith in what?intellectual prowess isn't required, faith is required which includes morons, and moron is a relative word in this case. a man isn't a fool because he's in the dark, he is a fool because he doesn't acknowledge the Light. and the faithful don't have issues in that area, usually its the intellectuals that have the difficulty acknowledging the Light of God.
Hi aspen,
James 5:16 says we can confess our sins to each other. John 20 gave the power to forgive sins to the apostles and logically by apostolic succession it was given to other men. Neither say anything about being approached by Christ first.
Are you sure we have to confess our sins to Christ? Scripture seems to say otherwise.
What is the tree of life?

Why would the Good Samaritan have done what he did, sans knowing Jesus, in that case? And certainly would not have been interested in knowing Him, had the priest crossed the road to tell him?If you could do this before Christ ‘knocks at the door’ we could save ourselves.
"behold, I stand at the door and knock."Christ must approach us first.
Hi aspen,1. Yes. Christians can confess their sins to each other and forgive the sins of others because of Christ within them. If you could do this before Christ ‘knocks at the door’ we could save ourselves.
2. The Tree of Life was in the Garden and the way was blocked from fallen humanity - we cannot approach it - Christ must approach us first.

nice. Could you rephrase this, i'm prolly hearing it wrong tyand no one acknowledges what they don't know to be.
