James 5:16 says we can confess our sins to each other. John 20 gave the power to forgive sins to the apostles and logically by apostolic succession it was given to other men. Neither say anything about being approached by Christ first.

Are you sure we have to confess our sins to Christ? Scripture seems to say otherwise.

I don't understand the "Christ must approach us first" theory. Christ is available at all times and always. Just like His father.

there is nothing special about the Samaritan helping the victim it happens every day, by those who do care even a drug dealer will help others. and the Samaritan parable was to show the hypocrisy of the Pharisees that many Israelites at that time thought to be righteous.

the love thy enemies such as turn the other cheek, is simple. in the service to the Kingdom in the finding of those chosen the servant isn't the judge of who and who should not be in the Kingdom. if the servant goes by his own judgement of what is good for himself and anything within his reach he will miss the mark. hence no matter the unpleasantly of a person, this maybe one of the Lord's. the servant merely brings the message and the servant must do what's best for the Kingdom and not himself, which is according to the King of the Kingdom. so the servant brings the message and it's on the Lord to reveal the Truth of God to the hearer of said message. because the Lord walks with His servant, or he isn't a servant of the Lord. no one kicks God's door in and sees God and decides whether or not they want to believe. God sees the heart just as men see each others faces and acknowledges a chosen by revealing the Truth of Himself to that person. and that person acknowledges God through His Son the Word spoken to that person via the servant, in God's Presence. its not the only set of circumstances but the Word must be heard first, and that will come by way of a servant of the Lord.

so this turning of the cheek is for the sake of the living (as in those who will receive Christ) not the dead.

a soldier suffers for the kingdom he soldiers for. actually saving lives (souls) in this case, (by the Power of God of course) the methods are according to God's Judgement which is Life, rather than man's judgement which is death. King David fought many battles but he would be the first to tell you that it was the Lord his God who won it, and delivered him. Joshua fought many battles and he didn't even have to tell you by who's Power was the battle won, but he did anyway.

man doesn't reveal God, God reveals Himself, at His own will, at His own pleasure, and no one acknowledges what they don't know to be. and to know is to experience.
