After reading this thread, He might change His mind about wanting to save us...
LOL
That's funny, but...
I believe God LOVES it when we get real. That CERTAINLY is what Jesus was about.
Therefore, I think God was smiling when he saw what was going on here.
From my perspective, there were many beautiful moments.
And I REALLY appreciate the way it lit up this morning. (in my time zone)

That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God,
who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe. - 1 Timothy 4:10 NIV

So, this says: God is the Savior of all people, and... that will include "believers". Very good news.
His salvation of all will include "believers". As a subset of all.

So, why are believers so hard to save? They are trapped in a religious mindset. IMHO

Why are believers so hard to save?

Aren’t they already saved, if they are believers and Born Again.?

Am I’m missing something here @St. SteVen ?

I’m pretty dim to be honest, when understanding certain words.
Come on, do you really believe that EVERYONE who calls themselves "Christian" will be saved?
Will you be saved because you belong to this or that church? Or by your stellar works portfolio?
Get real!

Agree or disagree?
Let's discuss. Thanks.

@Patrick1966
We can’t be saved by this or that church can we?

Only God can save us from eternal damnation..by birthing us in the Spirit.

Just my thoughts Brother.

I suppose I should have put the word "believers" in quotes.

My answer in the OP was:
"They are trapped in a religious mindset. IMHO"

The questions is whether these "believers" (self-claimed?) who are
trapped in a religious mindset are actually saved. ???
We could probably agree that SOME are, but probably not ALL.
Not that we can judge, but you know what I mean.

Right.
(but I don't agree with eternal damnation) I'm a UR proponent. U can B UR 2 - LOL

Just my thoughts Brother.
Wow.
My day was MADE twice today.
I'm having an awesome day! Hope U R 2

Warms my heart to be called "brother". Thanks.

QUESTION: Why did the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers STILL exist (mentioned in Genesis chapter 2:14) after a global flood?
That’s over my knowledge or understanding at the moment, Brother....I will pray about that question..or maybe let’s cheat.

Tell me the answer?..LOL

Honestly, I don't know the answer.
But it begs the question about whether the flood was actually global, or only local.
There is however, plenty of other evidence that points to a global flood.
Like shark teeth fossils in the desert. ??? Sedimentary rock formations. ???

That's interesting. I think I have met some.
What is it about "a Born Again" believer that would prevent them from staying trapped in a religious mindset?
We might differ in our definition of what a religious mindset is?

I see lots of "Born Again" believers kneeling at the altars of the false gods of apologetics and Bibliolatry.
Wouldn't you consider that to be a religious mindset?

Many others trot off to church regularly (as do I) and think that saves them somehow. (not as I do)
They believe that if they left the church, they would be damned for not "enduring to the end."

From my own understanding, the Holy Spirit is in us,..therefore we have a living relationship with God.
He is the one imo, who grows and matures us in Christ..it’s like Gods living water feeds our spirit.

It’s hard to explain, then there is the renewing of our minds.....I just stay focused on God through the Holy Spirit..I believe I am fully surrendering and letting him have his way.

Then there is the working out of our salvation.

Online source
For this to happen, God needs our cooperation with His grace, thus we need to “work out our own salvation.” We do this by reading the Bible, praying, loving the Lord, following the Lord's speaking within us, giving Christ the first place in our lives, denying our self, and fellowshipping with other believers.

My words.
This flesh is tiresome and a burden..sorry, that’s the only way I can explain it.
I see lots of "Born Again" believers kneeling at the altars of the false gods of apologetics and Bibliolatry.
Wouldn't you consider that to be a religious mindset?
How would you know they are Born Again?...no more than you could possibly know that I’m Born Again..only God knows that.

That’s religious thinking is it not?

To seek is good. To humbly seek is better. :)
It aint humble to go after those who remind us of the DIRE NEED TO BELIEVE ON JESUS CHRIST epi .
No man , woman or child is ever gonna live up to , be made , or attain to righteouness of GOD
LEST THEY FIRST BELIEVE ON HE , JESUS CHRIST , who did all that was needed for us to BE MADE RIGHTEOUS .
DO remember that epi .
Remember it well epi .
Ponder on it , learn it , embrace it , love it . The preaching of the cross is vain if we preach not the DIRE NEED
to have BELEIVED ON JESUS CHRIST . take care to REMEMBER THAT EPI . all other religoins are false .
TIME to preach JESUS CHRIST and ALL HE DID teach as well as the apostles .
