That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is
the Savior of all people, and
especially of those who believe.
- 1 Timothy 4:10 NIV

So, this says: God is the Savior of all people, and... that will include "believers". Very good news.
His salvation of all will include "believers". As a subset of all.

So, why are believers so hard to save? They are trapped in a religious mindset. IMHO

Come on, do you really believe that EVERYONE who calls themselves "Christian" will be saved?
Will you be saved because you belong to this or that church? Or by your stellar works portfolio?
Get real!

Agree or disagree?
Let's discuss. Thanks.

God will save unbelievers from the Lake of Fire.
Those who already believed have been saved from the Lake of Fire.

But, it is after salvation that believers need to be saved in another way.
Saved by learning sound doctrine in order to be saved from evil.

God saves believers from the evil in the world by providing them with truth (sound doctrine) that would set them free from evil.
In that way, He is the Savior of those who already have believed.

All shall Believe.

Initially, God saves unregenerate souls from condemnation to Hell.

After they are saved?

God then wants to save believers from religion and human good.

The results?
Very few of the many saved find the sound doctrinal teaching needed to be delivered from religion and human good.
There is a contrast, many are saved from Hell.
Few are saved from religion or human good.

Many are called, but few are chosen?
The 'called' are the ones who have been saved...

And whom he called, them he also justified.
And whom he justified, them he also glorified. Romans 8:30b
The 'called' are many.
The called are saved (justified) ones.
That right there could go on for an extended time,
but this format leaves us with only a sign on the door.
So? We need to accept what it says by faith for starters.
Abraham did not understand it when at age 99 he was told he would sire a son.
Abraham accepted it by faith, without understanding how it was possible.
Yes, God must save the saved.
It all amounts to it being those whom for sound doctrine they genuinely seek.
Or end up thrown in the bin of 2 Timothy 4:3 believers.
For the time will come when they will not put up with sound doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great
number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear.
Note!
For the time will come when they will not put up with sound doctrine.
There we have it.
Basically...God saves us from the the world...then He saves us from ourselves.

Terrific. (sigh)

Isa.45
[23] I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Rom.14
[11] For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

Rom.14
[11] For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Everyone who has knees to bow and a tongue to speak, in heaven and on earth and under the earth (in the realm of the dead), will whole-heartedly, and without reservation, acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord. No one can say that “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” you will be saved. Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. (the reason for the bodily resurrection) Scriptural support below.

Philippians 2:10-11
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

1 Corinthians 12:3
Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says,
“Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.

Romans 10:9
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart
that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 14:9
For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that
he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.

Note on "acknowledge" in Philippians 2:11 from Strong's Concordance
S1843 eksomologéō (from 1537 /ek, "wholly out from," intensifying 3670 /homologéō, "say the same thing about") – properly, fully agree and to acknowledge that agreement openly (whole-heartedly); hence, to confess ("openly declare"), without reservation (no holding back).

Basically...God saves us from the the world...then He saves us from ourselves.

Positionally, He does that.
In God's eyes, seeing it as already accomplished.

But only in our experience if we fail to succeed to want sound doctrinal teaching.
He will not save us from the world in our experience if we prefer false doctrine.

Many do fail!

For the time will come when people will not put up with/tolerate/ sound doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of
teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3
We must be personally guided by the Spirit, and not by our emotions.

Jesus warned that many will fail to overcome the world in their experience.
Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road
that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate
and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it. Matthew 7:13-14

Broad and wide = why we find so many denominations.

Leads to life? And only a few find it? = Matthew 7:13-14

Only a few believers will find the Life Jesus came to give his Church!

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come
that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10

And narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Finding life is not about salvation itself. Many assume it does.
It is about finding God's blessings He desires for the saved to experience in their lives while still here on earth.

It seems so simple...

The Life IN a soul IS Gods Breath, God IS Spirit.

Life of the Body is Blood.
Dead body’s are NOT professing Belief,
The Living Soul IN the Body IS controlling the Tongue to Professing Belief.
The Living soul IN the Dead body is controlling the body to bow and Worship.

Living Souls IN or Out of a body…is the man’s bodily stimulation of function to communicate.
Living Soul in a body, body ears hear, body eyes see, etc.
Living Soul departed out of the body, soul continues to Hear, see, etc.

Dead lifeless body’s have no ability to know anything, communicate, make choices.

Basically...God saves us from the the world...then He saves us from ourselves.
I read you wrong the first time I responded.

Salvation is God saving us from ourselves, from where we were heading - lake of fire.

In doing so?
He saved us, and then made us to be his own possession.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom
you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price.
Therefore honor God with your bodies." 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

He saved us from our depraved self by crucifying our old self, and raised us up in Christ.

And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.'
Ephesians 2:6
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved
me and gave himself for me.' Galatians 2:20

Rather if anyone is saved it is through Jesus. Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

In response to the OP:

You are using the idle word "too" to suggest that being double minded about the faith, is normal in some sense. Jesus said He would spit the double-minded out.

So, this says: God is the Savior of all people, and... that will include "believers".

In the same sense that """"Jesus is Lord"""""for all etenity....and that means no matter if the person believes it or not....Jesus IS Lord., and "every knee shall bow and tongue confess it"..

See that?

So, its understood by those who can understand, who are aware of the Lordship of Christ which has been established even before He was virgin born...... (The Lord came down from heaven), the NT verse teaches.......then in this same light, we understand that a believer, is already "accepted in the beloved".. they are already the "temple of the Holy Spirit"........and they are already "one with God, in Christ"... even if they dont believe it, later, or like you @St. SteVen ..... will never understand this at al

Reader,....once God has accepted our faith in Christ before we DIE...(as He wont accept if you end up dead and in Hell)....... then He now performs His promise regarding the new birth and the "promise of the Holy Spirit".
They have now become the "new creation in Christ".

Christians must follow God's word to life and life eternal. God is a spirit of life. He leads to living places.

God's commandments are also his word and spirit. We do not only live by bread, but every word that proceeds out of God.

Therefore we are baptized then we receive the gift of God's holy spirit by being prayed for and the laying on of hands by priests of our high priest Jesus the Christ. God desires mercy for his children and people. He is the mercy and made sacrifice so that we might live. Then we take covenants with God to obey his commandments and such, to serve in what capacity we can, we take the bread and wine of our lord and savior Jesus the Christ. We gather often, taking bread in remembrance of Jesus' sacrifice. We hear and speak in gatherings of our kind and loving God. We are filled with the spirit from time to times.

We make sacrifices of our time, talents from God and put effort into helping others and serving God that way, in the capacity we are given from God.

We fast and pray, help the poor, sick and afflicted. Clothe the naked, food and drink to them that need it. And other blessings from God we share among them that need it.

Thank You,

Devin

And never assume that because you are seeking something, that that seeking justifies you. Staying humble and unassuming is the secret to salvation. What we think has no value. We only get in the way.
Deuteronomy 4:29
“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.”

Jeremiah 29:13
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Matthew 6:33

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

James 4:8
“Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.”

Zephaniah 2:3
“Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD'S anger.”
