Actually before getting involved on this forum but after my retirement from secular work I spent a lot of time on the Lord's work and had little to do with politics. On this forum I still want to avoid politics, but it is almost impossible and also remain an active member.

That's why I broke the reality down about Left and Right only being labels to represent BELIEF SYSTEMS. Trying to place that into some political correctness idealism is ignorant.

As to God's meaning of the verses I cited, not many people are as concerned with that meaning as they are with their own political stand and what they consider to be their legal [secular legality] rights as American citizens. They too often only carry the label [Christian] because it has been the expected thing for all or most of their lives.

Matthew 20:20-23 has nothing to do with politics. You only TRIED to make it so. The mother of Zebedee's children asked Jesus to let her two sons, one sit on His right hand, and the other on His left hand in His future Kingdom. NEITHER of those positions represents a political Left or Right ideology. So don't give me all that baloney there, for that's all it is.

We have so many people constantly chirping about our godly heritage and how it shaped our life for so long. Peter Marshall ( I think) even wrote a book called "The light and the glory", which declared AMerica was teh city on a hill and a light to teh world and we had a special place among the nations of th eworld! Hogwash! We are simply a gentil enation that had been blessed because we did have a godly heritage and generally speaking society had a great respect for Gods Word! Even if they weren't believers! Living according to biblical principles can really bless a nation. But the independent spirit of America thought it by birthright belonged to us! This also is wrong and is being corrected.

Being corrected? When I was younger, I naively believed it was and in some places among some people it was, but the mess we see around us to day is an indication that something has been "rotten in Denmark [USA]" for a very long time.

Being able to see things from a very different perspective is always dangerous. That was why prophets in the OT times always wanted to have a way to escape if their prophetic words were not acceptable to the people the prophetic word is being given too because they may be killed for what they were asked by God to deliver.

I have started threads on this forum where I have asked what the sin of the USA was that they committed that resulted in the punishment that they are presently experiencing, even referencing Jer 50-51 and particularly 51:14 as what is going on at the present time during the presidential election that has recently happened.

God in this condemnation of the nations that tried to heal Babylon, is that their land will become filled with people like locusts who will strip the land of all good nourishment, i.e. ungodly nourishment.

The response I have received is that America is a Godly nation, just look at how we have blessed the nations of the world with all of the missionaries that has sent out to convert the world to our moral values. What I have seen is that those countries that have had their social structures destroyed and replaced with the excessive structures of a dog eat dog society that is the America of today.

I have listened to your so called "Prophets" who have assured America that God will not punish America but will raise up a savour for the nation who is known as Donald Trump at the last minute, and people have cheered when they have heard the prophecies because they do not understand or know the scriptures which speak about this present time. The prophets tells us as if the USA has replaced Israel as the apple of God's eye and that only blessing will flow towards the nation of America and that God's decreed punishment will not befall the USA and the other nations around the world which joined the USA in trying to heal the land of Babylon, i.e. Iraq.

Sadly, our understanding of the Biblically prophetic prophecies of God's words does not rightly comprehend what has been foretold to us for these present times. We have not comprehended the unfolding of some of the prophecies in the Book of Revelation, and our understanding of some of Christs parables have been turn on their head where the leading bad guy has been now identified by the "church" as Christ and not Satan as these parables indicate in the source Greek Text in which they were written.

We have replacement theology now written into our "sacred" English Paraphrases where the original context has become lost in the whims of our so called righteous scholars.

Our understanding has become obscured from Satan's influence over our translations and we believe that what is written in our translations is what is to happen during the end times, and as such "christian" people of influence with our government circles have lead the government to adopt policies that are not in line with God's will for the people of the earth.

As a small side note, the USA is not the only nation with these same problems that they must repent of.

And at this point its too late for them to repent of all of their deeds anyway. The time of the gentiles has come to its fulfillment as Jesus dictates must occur first before end times prophecy.
