I am new to the bible, and there is a lot of often confusing and apparently contradictory messages.

It's been a difficult few weeks for me, I'm working hard, praying, trying to live a good simple life. Being the best I can be.

I suppose I am feeling a little alone, a little frustrated. Sometimes I question why the world is allowed to be full of greed, vanity, evil.

I will continue to read and pray and give thanks for the few good things in my life, I know there are countless others in worse situations than me

Hi @Ian74 Good to keep at reading God's Word diligently.

Even if we don't understand everything at once, there is the influence of the 'washing of water by the word' (Ephesians 5.26).
