I'll rephrase it... It is now a criminal offence (in Victoria only) to talk about protesting the government on social media or face to face.

I can see the ban on using social media since we know that some of the violent protests here in the US got organized on Facebook and other social media. The major looting in Chicago was. There people knew when the peaceful protesters would be going home because of the curfew; so they waited until after that to strike. They rented trucks and things to break locks with -- then showed up downtown to loot the stores.

We have wackos here in the US -- from the right and the left -- who think they can achieve something by stirring up trouble -- and they use social media to get people from other states to join them in the city they pick to protest in. It may be worse in India -- don't know if they got their social media problems under control or not. There most people are Hindus, and if someone sees a stranger walking along, he may go on social media (not Facebook but WhatsApp) and suggest it's a rapist. People have been lynched for nothing. They stir up hate against Christians and Muslims too. Muslims have been lynched for being Muslims.

What I don't understand -- really I don't -- is why that woman got into trouble. Why wasn't Facebook policing their site? If it's against the law to post that sort of thing, why did Facebook allow it? It seems to me maybe Facebook should have been fined.

Years ago, my family used to breed Australian Shepherd dogs, which were actually bred in America as herd dogs. We call them Aussies. They make great pets and would herd my children when they were young, lol!

It looks as if he got it. He couldn't do that on his own.

He needed a majority vote in the upper house. The opposition was against it so Dan needed 2 of the 11 independents votes...
He was only able to do that by calling for a "state of disaster"... So, yes he has done it all on his own.
His dictated the city into a dystopia in the last 6 months and he is going to destroy it in the coming 6 months
There is no emergency here

It made me scratch my head and wonder what favors he promised them. There was probably some kind of deal. He wanted a year's extension, but that was pushing parliament too hard.

I also read that he has to report to parliament on a regular basis to keep them informed. If some things can be relaxed, they expect him to relax them. They did not give him carte blanche.

Incorrect... Please provide citation... Parliament was closed for 6 months, im not sure if he will now keep parliament informed but i do know that Daniel Andrews does have carte blanche... All the lockdown restrictions were brought in by Dan and his party...
