Good angels are ministering spirits of God.
Good angels minister to the will of God.
If God wills that anyone should be protected then that person would indeed have a guardian angel but, to assume that everyone has a guardian angel goes beyond scripture. There are indeed angels watching all of us from both sides of the conflict and they are both good angels and evil angels. Just as God has his ministering spirits so does satan;
Rev 12:3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads. drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth...
7 And there was war in heaven:Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, neither was their place found any more in heaven. dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
The final answer is no. None of us are born with a guardian angel but we are under watch at all times by angels and a record is kept so that we may be judged;
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life:
and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
But, God doesn't only keep a record of the bad;
Malachi 3:16 Then they that feared the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and
a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the Lord, and that thought upon his name. 17 And they shall be mine, saith the Lord of hosts, in that day when I make up my jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him. 18 Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.
As I noted above we can each be under God's protection if he wills it, and Christ has shown us how to ask for that protection from his Father;
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret;
and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. 7 But when ye pray,
use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them:
for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. 9 After this manner therefore pray ye:
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Give us this day our daily bread. 12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
If you don't sincerely love the Father and Christ with all your heart and soul and mind then you should not expect their protection. If children were under heavenly protection then we would never see this;
