......m'kay.......whatever. Just wondering, does your "Godly protection" apply to nations as well? Do nations have a right to defend themselves at all as you see it?
I've answered that.
Reread all ten pages, say 10 hail marys, stay out late tonight, take 2 aspirins, and call me in the morning.

Exodus 15:3
The LORD is a man of war; the LORD is his name.

how many times did the Hebrews defend themselves with weapons? to many times to count. and they did not conquer every nation around them and make a Jewish empire. they only defended their home. the Father supports this, so did the Son.

Sorry, I don't have the stomach to consume ten pages of anti-gun gibberish.

"10 hail marys"...............

The idea the anti-gunners wish us to accept is that God clearly was not against the use of weaponry for warfare and self-defense in old testament days, but he suddenly changes his mind about it in the new testament, without a shred of evidence of this in scripture....

Done. Ok so what’s your number, Rollo?

I always thought that after "Hail Mary, full of Grace" was followed by "The Lord is with thee"?
No big deal, she can't hear us anyway.

Sorry, but how do I know it you stay out late all night.
The Hell Palace was the only thing open.

Oh?
So you're a Jew and you live in Israel?
No wonder you don't know how to interpret the New Testament.

im a non Jew that looks to the Jews as my example. Israel was a nation of priest, who do you think they were meant to be priest to themselves? remember that guy Naaman?

Exodus 19:6
and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”

or am i interpreting this wrong . . .

Maybe
Israel is Israel
Jews living outside of Israel were not subject to levitical laws.
A kingdom of priests to sacrifice for the people
We as priests of Jesus Christ are a different breed.
We do not tell our "holy nation" what to do.
We don't have a holy nation.
None of us do.

You can't take everything in the Old Testament and make it a way of life for New Testament Christians.
Everything in the Old Testament is a lesson for us but not all of it is for practical use today.

So if someone threatens you as a Christian, be pacifist and have the honor of being a martyr by turning the other cheak. But if someone threatens your country, fight back like Israel did. That solves the dilemma.

Sure, if that's what you think a Christian is called to do.

You're asking years of Bible study as an answer.
Try to absorb what I just said before you go on.

I believe that people who say " Follow Jesus" are saying that we are to walk the walk that He walked...He walked dead to His self will and alive to only God's will.

In other words what "Follow Jesus" means...is Deny self , as Paul preached , pick up your own cross as Jesus preached... ( death to the old man).. and follow Me.
