I've already answered your question in this thread.
Maybe you need to read everything instead of just what you want.
That's how you read the Bible, right?

You think in terms of your wife being raped.
I think in terms of Jesus protecting us.
You lack the faith to trust in Jesus.
Would you join the military and kill innocent people or would you pray daily for God to protect you and your Family.
Are you so worldly that you don't believe God will really take care of us?
I say that if that is what you believe, then you are the same as most Christians.
Because Christianity in America is weak.
We hide behind bombs and send our youth out to die so we can live in comfort.
Except that comfort isn't there anymore, churches can be raided and everyone murdered at anytime.
So you go to church, lock the doors 5 minutes after the service starts, and the deacons stand at the entrances with machine guns.
And the pastor says, if you have problems of any kind, go to God, he will take care of you.
And nobody believes it, the world has taken over Christianity, and now we challenge the world with our guns to come get us.
God bless America.
I guess no one is gonna call you wimpy and irresponsible.
Unless they catch you without your gun.

"Because Christianity in America is weak."
Big time weak. Such a sad thing as we are free to worship the True God here yet, take it so for granted. I wonder if, in the many 3rd world countries where Christ's missionary's go to spread the Gospel, if there is more healing and more people getting saved by the simple Gospel message. I am thinking yes, bet they, even in the midst of their poverty and persecution, have stronger faith and more gratitude than the average American Christian. They are grateful for the smallest of things! Sad.

You mean beating around the bush because you know you rely on other things for safety and your argument is against all common knowledge

Oh I agree, you didn't say anything about gun control.
But your header is "Gun, Guns, killing, and more guns."
Hardly a benign " come to Jesus" heading! o_O

As I say, No I do not need a gun to protect myself personally...The Lord is all I need and He has done so for the last 76 years...I have confidence that He will do the rest. My times are in His hand.
Mr Ordinary does not have Jesus...therefore....

I know lots of Christians that have guns...I don't see it as any great sin.
Whether they chose to use them in an emergency or not, I have no idea...
I can only speak for me and my house...we do not.

As I have said...I am against disarmament.
I am sure Christian that have guns can hear as clearly from the Lord as anyone.... if the Lord has not convicted them to give them up...then so be it.
As long as they are prayed up and have an ear for the Lord if in a state or emergency... there is no sin it that.

So, do you think that all countries should disarm and 'just pray'.
Or when someone advances on you or your wife with a weapon to cut off your head...you believe you just stand there and wait for it?
I don't see that in the bible patterns.

Do you "just pray" at night and never lock your doors?

Maybe all your answers are Yes. If so, you are a better man than I.
We lock our door.
My bible says "Be as wise as serpents buy as harmless a doves."

Wisdom does have a place in our lives.

Bless you...H

Awww @"ByGrace" You are more man than most men I know :D:D:D:D

Wait til you've killed your first person.
then you can come to me for counceling.
You might want to fix your spelling before you offer any counsel.

Seriously, your idea that the only way to use a firearm is to kill someone is mistaken. Shootings do not have to be fatal, and indeed killing should be avoided if possible. Remember the story of William Tell?

I don't believe in counseling. Jesus is my Great Physician, only He holds my life ;)

I believe that requiring back ground checks before someone buys a firearm is lawful and necessary to protect the citizenry from undue harm.

The Second Amendment provides U.S. citizens the right to bear arms. Ratified in December 1791, the amendment says:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”

Anyone who rejects background checks should be a red flag to law enforcement and that person put on the watch list.

In my view

How about you?

My opinion here is this. If you believe you have to pull the gun, then you should plan on killing the person. You don't shoot for the arm or knee. You go for the chest area, the area of largest mass.

I grew up with guns and had a gun near my bed and in my car at all times.
Got into many fights from grade 3 on as we moved to a real bad town out in the sticks and plenty of backward people out there and drug types. you have to be carful around such people or you will never be seen again or beaten to a pulp by a protected race that gets away with stealing everything, so you had to stand up for yourself or you were dominated by them and had to give them money etc and a hiding was the only thing they truly understood and then they would give you some respect. I was attacked by groups of them at anytime for years and I hated having to deal with that all the time.
But I never once thought of shooting them, such would be a gutless coward to do such a thing but if a mob turned up to threatened your family with rape etc well you would have to shoot them.
A mate of mine had coons that would walk through his property and they would steal what ever they could and the police were totally useless when it came to coons, they did not want to know about such, for they lived in fear of them and all the stupid laws that could be turned on the cops, so they did not want to know about such things, if someone was bashed and turned up saying the coons got you, the cops would not want to know about it at all, because this went on 24/7 and every time they turned up a harassment by police claim was issued, many a lawyer made real good money out of the system and cops would be fined just for doing there job.
So old mates dad would be out with the shotgun directly if he thought someone was out around his place blowing away a few shells, it helped to keep them away, as he had 13 sheds full of gear for his work.

Now came the gun laws Australia had to have, well at the time the only reason not to stop the government was that by then, just to many drug addicts were around with guns and a gutless breed of wimpy type of generation that could not fathom reality very well, so they knew nothing about guns or to be a real man, metro sexual they are called. well they thought that guns were evil and if they got rid of guns then the problem is solved, well I had semi automatic and no one thought jack of such once, but then came the hysteria and if you had one well you were an enemy of the State and straight off to jail for years no questions asked. because little boy wonders are scared of guns.
Wow total criminals have guns now and people are still being shot and I have no rights to defend myself or family.
One cop was shot dead by a mental case with a machinegun of late, the mental case was let loose by the pathetic metro sexual Socialist government types that can not fathom reality such are total dolts, ignorant morons who mainly cause all the problems we have. that maniac was turned away from the Hells Angels, they did not want him ! but the government sure as hell wanted him loose on the streets regardless.

Hell 10 years ago I could of killed maybe 30 people in a mall with a butter knife.

Or now if you have AIDS some moron could kill thousands and all is fine with the metro boys because they could not see past their own nose.

Police here have to shoot for the body, because by law it has to hit the object being fired at and the head is designed to kill, so when it hits, it does not go just straight through you but blows you apart inside.
It's all about if a cop has to shoot, it is to kill only and nothing other and it's because your life or another's is in the balance.

We have people who are high on real bad drugs that will come at you with everything they can and some drugs now make them mental and really strong, so that if I brake there arm or leg they still come at you full on.

Sorry to hear things are so bad in your country. Indeed, once the guns are taken away, there will be an increase in lawlessness. Have you considered a crossbow? Or, are they illegal also.

I cannot believe that all those here who raise their arms in worship...do not expect to have to shoot to kill while doing their duty.

I'll tell you what - I could live with my self a LOT easier if I had to kill somebody who was raping or murdering my family than if I just sat there and did nothing and let it happen. That has NOTHING to do with being a true follower of Christ. It has to do with abdicating your duty as your family's protector.

As I stated before - Jesus talked about protecting one's own - not feeding them to the wolves (Luke 22:36-37).
You should KNOW better . . .
