As it happens, I am not a Marxist, cultural or otherwise. I disagree with Marx on his labour theory of value, which disagreement undermines fatally the rest of his thesis. But I would agree with him that the world's wealth needs a more equitable distribution. If this position is in someway contrary to your individualism, I confess I cannot see your problem. The poor are individuals, too.

I think the thing about communism, that eventually saw it's downfall, was that it interfered with personal freedom. But so, I submit, does poverty. For me, communism and unfettered capitalism are thus equally bad. Which is why I am now thinking about how to redistribute the world's wealth in a way that leaves freedom intact.

Your question has a flawed implied premise. The Bible is not a science book. It is a book dealing with, among other things, ethics which is timeless.

Science answers the question of HOW. Morals answers the question of WHY. You have turned science into an idol.
