I am often dismayed at the uncharitable opinions expressed by some Christians about homosexuals.

There is no doubt that the Bible clearly condemns all homosexual behaviour as sinful.
Sexual lust, both heterosexual and homosexual, are also condemned as sinful.

The fact that there are predisposing genetic and environmental components in developing SSA (same sex attraction) is not an excuse for sinful behaviour, but should act as a check on lack of empathy for those trapped in a deviant lifestyle.

Studies show that identical twins reared apart have a higher chance of both having SSA than siblings which indicates there is a genetic contribution.
Environmental factors beyond an individual's control can also impact the development of aberrant sexual feelings.

Everyone is born with certain psychological predispositions that shape their personality and behaviour ... when these feelings or actions are condemned by Scripture, we are called upon to resist temptation in the power of Jesus Christ.

For example, I have been prone to outbursts of anger while my wife has been an extremely calm person all her life ... with God's help I am not what I used to be, but nor am I yet what I ought to be. Galatians 5 includes unjustified anger along with other sins, including sexual immorality.

We do not have to cave to the lgbt+ ideology infecting many liberal churches, but we will never win to Christ those we despise - we need to show Christian empathy and support for the struggle many people with SSA go through as they gradually grow in grace to become a mature Christian.

But otherwise I agree with you.
Knowing the truth and seeking to follow it is the key rather than judging. One thing we should consider is when the lgbt+ activists talk about the lgbt+ community its worth pointing out there are secular homosexuals (ie Douglas Murray, David Starkey, etc) who dont associate with the so called lgbt+ community or even recognise it exists. There are homosexuals who are against the 't' (Kathleen Stock, Julie Bindell) and there are believing Christians (Rosaria Butterfield, Becket Cook) etc etc. So are these gays anti-gay?

Seen and heard this so many times, just right at the start

What made these people wonderful Christians exactly and does that mean Jesus was wrong when He affirmed that God made male and female and it was for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?
What was the reason God made male and female if not as Jesus says so that a man can be united with his wife

Its like, because they were so good at believing and following most of Jesus teaching it justifies this one sin.

Matt 19 "All these I have kept,” the young man said. “What do I still lack?” Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

My answer to Tony Campolo would be, why are you judging these Christians as wonderful and on what basis? Are these wonderful Christians determining what is right or wrong rather than Jesus?

I have heard Becket Cook speak - he has a wonderful testimony.

I did warn us about heeding science and etc .
Sin is sin . And while we condmen none , we ought to warn out against ALL sin .
Todays generation acts like if one warns against sin its automatically condmening .
But no it aint .
THIS is what is hate .
YE shall NOT hate your neighbor in your heart . Its hate .
So allow me to finish this .
YE shall not hate your neighbor in your heart , but you shall in any way Rebuke him and not allow sin upon him .
This overlooking sin is hate . So again i invite us all to return to the scriptures.

I have no problem with calling sin out as sin ... but if we stop there and do not go an extra mile to help an individual who needs support, we are not fulfilling the law of Christ.

is now being removed for a lie .

There is dire necessity for why paul and others warned and oh yeah they seriously rebuked those in sins that had not
repented of said sins . They carried the keys of correction , the rod .
ITS true they had much rather seen the children doing good . but if and when sin was seen
THEY sure did correct it quickly .
Sapphira and her husband found that out real quickly .
As did others .
What shall i come to you in love or with A ROD . no one wants the ROD of correction , THOUGH at times
IT is necessary .
THE Key is we must all return to the scriptures and see again HOW they did things .
JESUS did not walk around kissing rainbows and overlooking sins with a judge not God is love mentality .
Did you know he corrected any error he seen . EVEN to those who had invited him to dinner .
At one point HE gets so angry , RIGHTEOUS ANGER , he picks up a whip and gets real busy
cleaning house . GOD will never be pleased with rebellion , with sin , and with those who justify THEIR SIN .

Even studies can be biased in their methodology, interpretation, financial interests, etc. The fact you can have identical twins where one is gay and one is not would seem to dispel the genetic theory. As far as I know, no gay gene has ever been found. And if such a gene did exist, it would not have been able to proliferate because it couldn't have been passed on to the next generation for obvious reasons. I would wager that environmental factors are probably the largest contributor.

The bigger problem now is trans ideology. Same sex relations deny the purpose of God for man and woman, transgender denies God's very creation of man and woman.
