I think this "pandemic" is a whole lot of fake news trying to destroy the US economy! If the economy dies the US will become "Hell". People will be robbed and murdered like never before. Can you live with no money? They're closing gun stores and letting criminals out of prison. How convenient is that for criminals?

If not yet...then almost. The Elite have accomplished much more than most of us dreamed during this.

Was the first phase The Towers 9/11 and this the second phase?

I just got the foundation finished for a second patio out back. By next weekend, I hope to have it paved and done. I'll be putting in a path from the front gate to the back gate, which should keep me busy for a while.

And I bought a replacement light for the main patio; the old one is kind of dated and too bright. I even replaced the beat-up looking old dryer vent in back.

Normally, the Mrs. and I work out three times a week at a gym, and go to classes twice a week at UNT. That's gone, now. She's making masks for everyone she know who wants one.

The garden looks better than it has in a while. And still I'm bored.

For me I was lucky to go grocery shopping yesterday before things changed today, as the virus has taken a surge in new cases early this Thursday afternoon and people are swamping grocery stores and supermarkets, stripping shelves bare and long, long lines.

I have decided to Isolate as recommended by local health officials and to cease going to the gym for now and have cancelled get togethers with friends and with fellow believers.
We can text, email and phone each other.

I hope all of you are staying safe. I am praying for everyone's safety here.

Not good, I can't take much more of this being treated like a criminal under house arrest for nothing. Honestly I could understand if I was witnessing and they threw me in jail and I would feel better about it. I am an introvert and I absolutely hate this. We will have to take our freedom back are else we will lose it all. In Michigan the people can't do anything now because the Gov. there striped the rights away, A Church in Miss had car services and police broke it up. Govs are getting to bold and acting like dictators. Hopefully President Trump can reverse all this or we might have to and have the second revolutionary war

I am an introvert and I absolutely hate this.

Me too. You'd think we would really like this, but it's not much fun. I'm a facultative introvert; I need lots of alone time, but I need interaction, too. And stuff like this is not sufficient.

On the other hand, my immediate family and their wives are teleconferencing with us once a week, and we've started a weekly cooking competition (visual only). So that's kinda nice to see them and my grandchildren more often, even if it's on a laptop/tablet.

The corona virus is going to be with us until we build immunity and develop a vaccine - it is like a common cold with a possibility of killing you.

As for your question: I’m neither a virologist nor an economist, but as far as I can gather we are witnessing something that actually gives me a little hope for humankind:

As much as our capitalist societies have made the economy their golden calf, they still value human life above money and don’t want to see scenarios like in Italy where doctors had to decide who to treat and who to let suffocate just because they had too many patients at once to cope. So it makes sense to flatten the infection-curve.

I had to shut down my beloved small business due to Corona. So my income at the moment isn’t zero, it’s minus. If that means that not all of my vulnerable employees and customers end up in hospital at the same time but get ill one by one and thus closing my business increases their respective chances of survival, I’m fine with that.

As for our financial worries: I’m reading Matthew 6:25-36 over and over these days. You know: the passage with the lilies on the field that tells us not to worry about material things.
That said: Of course living in a country, that has a halfway decent social security net, helps, too. If I lived in the USA I’d be definitely closer to getting into panic-mode right now. But who knows, maybe this entire thing helps more Americans to realize the importance of such ‘socialist’ follies, such as paid sick-leave, public health-insurance and some sort of welfare-system.

Shutting down traffic and blocking hospital emergency rooms seems a bit self-destructive to me:

Blessings in Christ Jesus! Yesterday, I was moved by the Governor of Pa address to the state. I am one not easily moved, except on the things of The Lord. It is rare to see a man of his position, choose to side with the welfare(compassion) of his people, verses choosing to follow the god of gold and silver as the whole world does. I am also impressed by how the people of this state come together to help each other(Love your neighbor) in a time such as this. Compassion and Mercy is truly alive here, despite this time of darkness. Thank you Lord!
