The scriptures tells us that Jesus defeated Satan.

How did Jesus defeat Satan?
Revelation 12:10-11 KJV
And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. [11] And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

The brethren (Body of Christ) overcome Satan by Jesus's blood (his life) and their testimony that Jesus raised from the dead and paid for ALL our sins, and is documented in that they care more about Jesus than themselves.

Richard, I would be surprised if this was what you are thinking of, but I would not be surprised if it coincides with what you are thinking of.

You are right. Satan was defeated when Jesus paid for all the sins of the world on the cross. Satan could not condemn men/women for their sins any longer.

Some would ask, then why isn't everyone going to Heaven. Men/women must believe their sins were paid for on the cross. If they don't then, just as the Jews refused their Messiah and King, people today refuse to place their belief, faith, trust and confidence in what Jesus did for them on the cross.

I would ask, where does the bible state that anyone is going to heaven?

John 14:1-3
14 "Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.

This is not talking about heaven, this is talking about the New Jerusalem.

"In My Father's house are many mansions" --- I don't think Jerusalem is God's house.

That is just an assumption on your part. If you can't show it in scriptures you are basing your assumption on your own thoughts.
