Christmas lunch with my family at my grandaughter's new house.
Twelve adults and a four year old.
And two dogs.
Lots of hugs.
Turkey and all the trimmings.
Christmas pudding and custard.
A couple of glass of Bucks Fizz.
Paper hats.
Cracker jokes.
News of a wedding to come in May.
And home again to watch Morecambe and Wise reruns with a class of red and some cheese and biscuits.
Oh yes, and some nice presents.

I don't know if I can remember back four days. I remember doing some chores early in the day and taking the rest of the day off. I think it went pretty well.

Christmas day round at Megan and Pat's
Candles, crackers and bright party hats.
All the family enjoy Christmas cheer.
Bucks Fizz. Asti and bottles of beer.
We shared a delicious Christmas dinner.
The roast potatoes a definite winner.
Perfect sprouts and carrot mash.
Pigs in blankets, gone in a flash.
Christmas pudding, silly jokes,
Being there with my favourite folks.
From one of the girls some very good news,
So I'll need a new dress and a new pair of shoes.
A four year old Spiderman paid us a call,
And the two little dogs were having a ball.
I loved every second of this jolly time,
And that is the end of my sweet little rhyme.
