Hi there,

So I know the verse "if you are not faithful in unrighteous mammon, who will trust you with the true riches?" but I am awful at living it out!

Please pray that I learn to save? I think I really should be setting money aside, but discipline to do so is really hard.

The point is that money is for this life, by way of example to the next. Somehow I need to appreciate the opportunity for God to be praised, concerning money.

God bless.

It's good to save because if you have an emergency (doctors, refrigerator breaking, etc), then you will be able to pay those bills more easily.

Also, I don't know how old you are, but it's important to set aside something for your retirement. Social Security isn't very much.

Oh, just noticed you are in Australia....

Praying.

Compounding interest online calculators can be inspiring.

The simplest approach is taking the smallest step. So maybe just schedule an appointment with an advisor and forget about it. Let it be that easy.

I completely relate to struggling with saving money, and you're definitely not alone in this journey! It can be tough, but with determination and small steps, we can make progress. Remember, it's all about finding strategies that work for you and gradually building good habits. You've already taken the first step by acknowledging the challenge, so well done! Just take it one day at a time, and you'll get there. Sending positive vibes your way and wishing you the best on your saving journey. And hey, if you ever need some extra motivation, check out helpful resources at https://quantum-ai.money/. You got this!

Does Australia have the equivalent of social security?

It is hard to set money aside if you happen to live paycheck to paycheck.

If you start saving a small amount at first you may find it gets easier to increase monies you set aside.

Praying for you.

Do you just not have enough money to go around, or do you blow it?

Those unfaithful with mammon are those who serve it, and no one serving falsehood can bear the glory of God.

Learn to save? Learn to seek! Seek the truth of why you feel you lack as you do. The difficulty of a thing correlates directly with ones desire to do it. Because my Master has given me everything and sanctified my heart, I love to do His will and it is my pleasure and satisfaction to do so!

Money is not for this life, it is an illusion of security, and trust in it will deprive you of true Life. Orient yourself with Jesus to see every opportunity to praise the Father, not only as it pertains to your limited scope of concern.

If you want His vast and boundless treasures, and you would expect to receive them, you must despise everything but the certainty of His goodness.

Charles Dickens got it right with Mr Macawber.
" Income 20 shillings, expenditure 19 shillings result happiness.
Income 20 shillings expenditure 20 shillings and six pence result misery. "

One has to list every item that has to be paid over a month.
Rent/mortgage, fuel, water, travel costs, food cost, savings, loan repayments, charitable giving, beer money.
Total it up and is it greater or lesser than ones monthly pay?
If it's higher go through those costs, can one reduce your power bill by turning lights etc off, do you have to get takeaways more than once a month, could one walk rather than use a taxi or leave on time and take a bus!
Food cook from scratch is cheaper, healthier and better for one, also smaller portions and more veg, less rich sauces helps lose weight.

Work out a budget that includes charity giving and savings and stick to it.
Working out a monthly food menu enables one to both eat healthy and save money.

Be nice to yourself.

Are you bad at saving or do you not have enough to save?

Do you know Proverbs 30:8-9?

Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me only my daily bread.

Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you,
and say, "Who is the LORD?"
Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonor the name of my God.

Do what you can and trust Jesus will take care of it. It's when we rely on ourselves and not him, that we end up going in circles. Sleep about it. It's fine.

If you lack anything, just ask. How many times have you seen a train coming in your direction that you thought you needed to plan for, and then it just somehow passed by?

Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.

Not everyone can. Be patient and relax.
