We in the USA, don't fear or feel war like someone in Europe who is much smaller, less powerful than us and much closer to Europe. It is a lot of what makes America great, to be isolated by 2 giant oceans from regional wars over there. Of course modern weapons may eliminate the advantage of living over here.

The US actually keeps everyone in North America safe from foreign powers. Arguably central America too. Our intervention in Venezuela, which the duly elected woman who Maduro sought to arrest thanked Trump personally for eliminating Maduro who was a stooge for Russia and China.
