Do you believe the "snake" is external or internal?I personally believe that Jesus a flesh man just as me was confronted with this snake in the wilderness, that is confronted with His will, and the will of the Father in Him commanded put that on a stake.
Was Jesus battling his own flesh?
Adam and Eve gave into their desires.
Jesus overcame them.
I believe there is evil in the world.
I believe man is the creator of it.
Not God.
Man allowed himself to be deceived by his own lusts.
Question is, where did those lusts come from?
Are all lusts bad?
Are all desires bad?
Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
Tit 2:12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
Lusts: desire, craving, longing, desire for what is forbidden, lust
This same greek word lust is here as desire:
Phl 1:23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire G1939 to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
Luk 22:15 And he said unto them, With desire G1939 I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer:
So we need to discern between lusts and desires.
Which are acceptable and which are forbidden.
Cain had a problem with discernment apparently.
God did not find his offering acceptable.
His desires were lusts.. ??
This is heavy..
