Your speech must always be with grace, as though seasoned with salt, so that you will know how you should respond to each person.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When one gets pressed, it is then that either Christ or self is expressed... Though this pressing is hard to go through, it does work perseverance, character and hope... This is all for the changing a sinner into a saint...
When one submits to this pressing as coming from God, the heart will quickly see the evil that is in one, and the hope this pressing is working in one’s life... A hope of coming out from under the dictates of own will, and the peace and joy coming out from under own will produces...
One will taste and see the forming of the new life.. Then a falling back into God when own will is being pressed, will be found to be such a blessing to the soul... For in the giving up of own will is the dying to own will and in this dying to own will is the dying to sin, and in this dying to sin is the new life experienced... Where one’s conversation is seasoned with grace and they know how to respond to all..
Which is the expression of love, righteousness and being a peace maker...
Be blessed in the pressing, and in the fruit it produces...
Good words!
This is another one of those things that reminds me of God's armor; it is righteousness, joy and peace in the midst of conflict. But I sometimes wonder if the "pressing" as you call it continues as intensely throughout life. I think James words about letting endurance have its perfect work take effect, and you come increasingly under refinement where fewer and fewer things seem to effect you.
Your thoughts? And good morning!
You have a great morning also, and may He bless and bless you again!
I think that the pressing gets deeper, a digging out more of self as one submits, and also one goes through the pressing time quicker and get to the peace and joy of the fruit..
Learning by experience, as we all are...
Be blessed in that learning and in your relationship with the One who loves you...
Great edifying post! 2 Corinthians 1:7-11 has been on my mind for days which your post makes me continue to think of it
‘And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation. [8] For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, (2 Corinthians 3:3-5)
insomuch that we despaired even of life: [9] But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: [10] Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us ; [11] Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.’
2 Timothy 2:3 Lexicon: Suffer hardship with me, as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
Suffer (bear) hardness (with) me as a good soldier of Christ. For nothing is too hard for God. Nothing is impossible (with) God. Love endures all things, believes all things, hopes all things, bears (endures) all things especially hardness which is impossible with men but possible with God... that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: [9] But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
