That is the intent ! The Hope that you will be come Saved !

Religious people are not Saved ! that is not what Saved is about.

Saved is all about Christ Jesus !

No Christ Jesus = no Salvation.

No Chruch no Religion regardless ever Saved anyones Soul, bar the Body of Christ that only serves the Head, is the real Church, Period !
Agreed. A biblical church would never claim to save anybody. Only Jesus Christ can do that. A biblical church is made up of people saved by Jesus Christ.

The catholics do and they claim that's when members of their religion get born again

Of course they follow all kinds of non biblical foolishness so they cannot be taken seriously.
Jesus claimed we are born again in baptism: John 3:5 sooooo us Catholics (and Orthodox and some Protestant denominations) agree with Jesus. Apparantly you don't.

Non biblical foolishness according to WHO? You? Or do you follow the teachings of a certain denomination?

Curious Mary

Ummmm.....The Church is biblical and the pillar and foundation of truth......Just like Scripture says. And if you refuse to adhere to Church teaching The Church can kick you out (Matthew 18).

Soooo The Church CAN save somebody.....if you adhere to the teachings of The Church.

Which church/denomination do you see as "biblical"?

It seems like MMoG and Bread of Life are the same person.
We are the same person, in spirit and truth. We both repeat the truth over and over and over again which has been revealed to us by the pillar and foundation of truth: The Church. Right @BreadOfLife ?

Of course infant baptism isn't scripture. It was invented by the early Catholic Church so to insure a growth in population starting at an early age of committal.

Which is why the church doesn't proselytize to gain converts. They birth them from within the current population.

Plus, what the church doesn't care to realize? It makes God out to be a savage. Ss if the newborn would go to purgatory or hell if not baptized.
Scripture says entire families were baptized....Are you saying there were no infants in entire families?

If infant baptism was invented by the early Catholic Church then you agree that the Catholic Church started before 189AD?

The Catholic church does proselytize.....Why do you spread false information?

That statement also makes zero sense. Baptism is Baptism. The bible is clear, tge Greek language is clear, and I'm simply parroting what the BIBLE says. Wrong?? How can it be?? It ain't.

The fact is that the Greek word, baptizo, does NOT only mean “to immerse”. There is not a single verse in Scripture that says one has to be immersed for a proper baptism......It's simply NOT there.

I appreciate the debate. I will stick with facts instead of your opinion.

You're correct, it also means to dip, plunge, etc.

What else can the word mean? I looked it up in two concordances. Strong's has:

"907. βαπτίζω baptizo [bap-tid’-zo]; from a derivative of 911; to immerse, submerge; to make overwhelmed (i.e. fully wet); used only (in the N.T.) of ceremonial ablution, especially (technically) of the ordinance of Christian baptism: — Baptist, baptize, wash.

The concordance that is linked with my bible software program has:

"907 βαπτίζω baptizo [bap-tid’-zo]

from a derivative of 911; verb; TDNT-1:529,92; [{ See TDNT 123 }]

AV-baptize (76), wash 2, baptist 1, baptized + 2258 1; 80

1) to dip repeatedly, to immerse, to submerge (of vessels sunk)
2) to cleanse by dipping or submerging, to wash, to make clean with water, to wash one’s self, bathe
3) to overwhelm"

So it seems the word can also mean to submerge (but you can't be submerged in water without being immersed in it,) to dip, or to wash or bathe. As far as immersion and baptism is concerned, we do read concerning Philip baptising the Ethiopian:

“So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing.” (Ac 8:38-39 NKJV)

They "went down into the water," and they "came up out of the water." Philip didn't just splash water on the Ethiopian's forehead.
