Is justification and salvation the same?
They are related. There can be no salvation without justification. God had to somehow rectify the fact He had already shown Man there is no entry for Sinful Humanity into the Kingdom of God. How could God, therefore, justify human salvation?
And so, justification is the explanation God devised for embracing sinful humanity. He did so through the redemptive work of Christ in enduring our sin, and then forgiving it, contingent on our accepting him as our life--the basis of all our decision-making.
Salvation is simply our restoration to God and to His Kingdom, through the grace Christ delivered to us when he promised us his spiritual life and forgiveness. It encompasses our ability to enjoy his spiritual life now, even while we remain sinners, ie have the sin nature, but do not choose to live in sin. And it also encompasses a complete physical resurrection to sinless immortality in the future.
