"Were" signifies past tense.Again back to the original verse..Eph 5:3 But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; Masturbation practiced is fornication, uncleanness, and lust/covetousness. There is no justifying it and it must me confessed and repented of, or the person is in danger of: shall not inherit the kingdom of GodBut we do have an advocate with the Father and if one should sin, and confesses their sin, he is faithful and just to forgive cleanse from all unrighteousness.
I never said masturbation wasn't sin... if it is, it is. I have no problem with that... but to believe that a man who has accepted Christ into his heart is still going to go to hell because he sins is utterly ludicrous.The blood of Christ cleanses us from our past transgressions and sins, and makes us a born again in Christ, saving our souls from eternal hell and giving us eternal life with our Lord God.
