I personaly think this is a silly question. However, there are views that I've never heard of Let's discuss them. Maybe Christina and Jordan want to start this out with some scriptural proof.
I hope you won't think this is a silly answer,
WhiteKnuckle, but as well as having access to God in heaven, Satan dwells wherever he is made welcome.Revelation 2:12-13 "And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things says He who has the sharp sword with two edges; (13) I know your works, and where you dwell,
even where Satan's seat is: and you hold fast my name, and have not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you,
where Satan dwells."John 13:26-27 "Jesus answered, He it is to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when He had dipped the sop, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. (27) And after the sop
Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus to him, What you doest, do quickly."James 4:7 "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you."
It is acceptable to refer to Satan, or any of his other names, when describing manifestations of his evil influence. Matthew 16:23 "But He turned, and said to Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan; thou art an offense to me: for thou savorest not the things that are of God, but those that are of men."1Peter 5:8-9 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour: (9) Whom resist steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world."Revelation 3:9 " Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved you."Ephesians 6:11 "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil."Ephesians 6:16 "Above all, taking the shield of faith, with which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked."
I know of people who, at different times, have been personally visited both by angels of God, and the devil in one of his many guises. Luke 4:1-14 "And Jesus being full of the Holy Spirit, returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, (2)
Being forty days tempted by the devil. And in those days he ate nothing; and when they were ended, he was afterward hungry. (3) And the devil said to him, If thou art the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. (4) And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. (5) And the devil taking him up upon a high mountain, showed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. (6) And the devil said to him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered to me, and to whomsoever I will, I give it. (7) If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. (8) And Jesus answered and said to him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. (9) And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, If thou art the son of God, cast thyself down from hence. (10) For it is written, He will give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: (11) And in their hands they will bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. (12) And Jesus answering, said to him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. (13)
And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. (14) And Jesus returned in the power of the spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the surrounding region."
