It would seem obvious that the gospel is intended to evangelize the lost.
I'm not so sure.

The conversion experience does not require a solid understanding of doctrine.
A new convert need not understand the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.
That understanding will come later as a part of their spiritual growth.

Agree or disagree?

Is repentance enough to renew a relationship with God?
Or is more required?

Is the gospel for the saved or the unsaved?

I would say both. We have verses like this about the gospel being preached to unbelievers:

“And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe.” (Ac 15:7 NKJV)

But in his letter to the Christians in Rome, Paul wrote:

“So, as much as is in me, I am ready to preach the gospel to you who are in Rome also.” (Ro 1:15 NKJV)

Agree.
The word "preached" seems key.
Sermons are for gathered believers AND for seekers.

You mean the gospel that you said you don't trust?

Both. This reminds me of posting on a online friend's YouTube live stream recently. He is a Calvinist and was talking about "Human traditions" and I told his on the Bible that issue "Cuts Both Ways", that I "Considered Limited Atonement, a Human tradition", and not just on Church history and theology, but that was a position I knew I could defend very easily. Because after facing Calvinist deconstruction of the Faith, I began my own projects in Grok going after things that I did not believe in that had questionable foundations, and the notion that Salvation is only for the Elect, that is more a logical conclusion to try to make the Calvinist system work, rather than something coming from the Bible, because the Bible expressed things like Atonement or God's desire for Salvation for all. It really is a rationalization against some aspect of synergy, Pelagianism etc. that such a concept exists.
