What has been abundantly clear in recent years and throughout history is that Islam doesn't coexist with anyone. Christians are slaughtered all over the world by Islam and we keep pretending like it isn't happening and welcoming it into our Christian nations.

Here's what the Jewish wars are about...

Islam wants Christians and Jews dead. It's their way of cleansing the planet so their Prophet will return.

Some of them are very good looking.

I have to admire your determination to say something positive.❤️ (It also gave me a giggle! lol)
It gave me a smile, too.

I do want to say that many Muslims are sincere and kind. Let's pray that they will understand why they need the Savior....that their holiness is still not enough to stand in God's presence. That is why we all need Jesus Christ as our Savior.

Sometimes you don't even have to live in their countries.

There are honor killings happening in the USA and I understand also in the UK.

This week I saw a true crime program where the Muslim father and mother were very upset that their 20 year old daughter was "Westernized."

They were also upset with their Westernized Middle Eastern neighbor lady who gave friendship to their daughter.

The father ran his car into both his daughter and the neighbor after tracking them. The daughter was so severely injured she was taken off of life support and died. The neighbor lady survived her injuries.

The above story happened in Texas, USA. Father was convicted of murder. Police suspected the mother and brother were in on the plot, but not enough evidence to charge them.

True... It happens in the US more than people realize.

But since we were using generalities... If I feel I've already stretched a generality too far I try and rein it back in.

Muslims are as nuanced as any other people-group in the end. We might make a general point about whites, but it's certainly not all whites. Same with blacks, or or or...

When I was a practicing Muslim I was also a voting Republican (are you shocked they exist?) . You can make some generalities, but not every one is true in every single instance. (The statement 'Muslims vote Democrat' is still true, generally, irregardless of the subset that never has)...

So if I use one generality I will often avoid a second. Too many generalities strung together is an accusation and a failure to understand people.

Also, making the wrong generality is an accusation. I would never ever say "Muslims in America commit honor killings" because it's not generally true, it's only true in particular instances. You can only say things generally when they are largely true for the whole group.

This is 200% true. Islam is at war, permanent war, against everything that is not Islam and seeks to bring the world under Islam.

And yes, the favorites to hate are first Jews, then Christians.

I never ever want to see more than 2% Muslims in America. The tipping point for change, permanent change, in any society is 10%. Once an idea has 10% of the population believing it, there's no stopping it's ability to spread and then change anything it wants to change about that society.

And Islams goal is to bring the world under Islamic control.

But this doesn't seem to be the plan for America, something else managed to hit the tipping point already.

Doesn't the Quran say that Muslims can go to People of the Book (Christians) for some counsel? Or something like that?

Yes ... But in case you were curious, your not considered "people of the book"

Only non-trinitarians are considered people of the book. Trinitarians are simply considered polytheists.

The rejection of Christ as Lord is total.

So who do they consider People of the Book?

Do any non trinitarians exist?

I think there's a couple small groups but I don't know for sure who they are.

You can basically accept the fact that Islam is at war against Christians.

Hagar's encountered the angel of the Lord in the desert. What was said about Ishmael is interesting.
I have assumed Ishmael is the Father of the Arab clan....Is this correct?

Genesis 16:11-12

The angel of the Lord also said to her:

“You are now pregnant
and you will give birth to a son.
You shall name him Ishmael,
for the Lord has heard of your misery.
He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
and everyone’s hand against him,
and he will live in hostility
toward all his brothers.”

and they recognise their linage ?
Yes, absolutely... It's a matter of honor.

I don't think there's a person in the middle east who isn't proud of whatever their lineage is.

Does this surprise you?

how is 'honour' understood by them?

Proud of it? Something to uphold. . Honor.

Being a direct descendant of Abraham is a big deal. People have written lineages that go back thousands of years for their family in some cases.

Lineage is very important and a manner of honor. It's who you are. It's your place in society.

Written family lineage is the first thing to protect in war. It's the most important thing you have.

I'm a Philistine... We're all something. Didn't come from no where.

Arabs are proud descendants of Hagar. Always will be.

Does this surprise you?
No not really. I've drawn the conclusions I have from the record of Hagar's encounter with the angel but I've never had it confirmed by anyone of that linage.

Out of interest, my sister married a Bedouin but it didn't last long. He insisted after the marriage that any children would be educated as Muslims. It was her reason for terminating the marriage which they did amicably.

I worked in Saudi Arabia for four years. From my personal experience, I think the average Muslim in Saudi Arabia has more respect for Mohammed than the average Christian in Toronto has for Jesus.

Check out the PBS series, narrated by Ben Kinsley: Islam Empire of Faith.
Interesting topic. Thanks, Tony.

The women always seem so happy.
You would think that with the oppressive rules they follow that they would not be.

Muslims in general are like most people. Treat them with respect and they will treat you with respect.
