I imagine there would still be fictional belief systems. I don't consider their existance to be benefical to humanity.Let's assume that Christianity did the thing it's supposed to believe in far more effectively and it completely won over the world to become the only one governing ideology. Do you think that all the people of the world under that belief based narrative wouldn't need to be curious about what could lie outside the current normative belief system?
No belief is beneficial for life.I imagine there would still be fictional belief systems. I don't consider their existance to be benefical to humanity.
You're asking questions but not answering them. See post #12 & 15. This tells me you are not serious. Curious, perhaps. Facetious, definitely. But not serious.Did God believe the universe into existence?
Yeah yeah I've read all the common theological literature. So what if the only reason you need it is to sit on high and judge. I thought only God could judge correctly? You know the Bible also says to build up people and focus on every lovely thing. You're asking questions but not answering them. See post #12 & 15. This tells me you are not serious. Curious, perhaps. Juxtapose your playing with what belief is all about with knowledge as the Bible talks about. John 17:1,3 Father ... this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
What do you know? Not what is your philosophical understanding. Not what familiarity do you have with various schools of thought. Not world views based on semantics and playing word games with definitions. What is your first hand experience with the divine, with power and knowledge far beyond human ability? This will be my last question to you. My last post in this thread if you don't answer seriously.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Jeremiah 29:13 You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart. Implied are two things.
- The divine don't suffer fools who are only playing.
- God will not reveal himself if you aren't serious - deadly serious, more serious about this topic than any topic.
- You have the burden to ask, knock, seek - with all sincerity.
- Your soul must be like a man dying of thirst, desperate beyond all measure for what you need to survive.
- Otherwise, you're just wasting everyone's time.
So what if the only reason you need it is to sit on high and judge.
A very ignorant thing to say.I thought only God could judge correctly?

Man was created with a desire for eternity. That is something the world can't provide. No belief is beneficial for life.
The question is broken in a self-contradictory way. It uses the words "outside of" & "everything", which words are at odds with each other. "Everything" means "all there is", and therefore, nothing is "outside of it", for that would mean something would then not be a part of "everything".What is outside of everything?
The previous post (images) is a classic case of "pareidolia" if you (any) ask me.Oh man.
Essentially:Did God believe the universe into existence?
Agreed. I asked the question the way I did because that is the error of the unbeliever we are dealing with. The question is broken in a self-contradictory way. Yeah, no worries. :)Agreed. I asked the question the way I did because that is the error of the unbeliever we are dealing with.
It's not necessary that everyone believe, just that someone does. You really think your beliefs are guaranteed. Don't you. You'll defend everything you believe rather than face what you don't know and accept what needs to change. Even though it's become undeniable that beliefs are the problem of our society. You'd rather pretend that what you believe is worth the destruction it causes the world over. I know for sure now I'm not wrong, because all you believer's have is something to force other people to believe in.
Your time of believing has reached its final destination.
Yes, the Bible says knows the word of God doesn't make a man happy.....No belief is beneficial for life.
No I don't.Yes, the Bible says knows the word of God doesn't make a man happy.....
Do you know why?
Why is it necessary to believe? What exactly does believing do?It's not necessary that everyone believe, just that someone does.
You are mistaking believers, for a people that are trying to tell everyone to believe the same thing - the reality is that we are all asking "has the Lord told you, what He told me?"
When was the last time you went the extra mile or turned the other cheek? Did you feel like you were being manipulated then?
Well no because I'm making the claim as a matter of fact. Although maybe you might have said "Don't you mean you assume that?" Because I don't need to use the word belief to establish my position on knowing something to be true or assuming something to be true.Do you believe that?
