Read this in my quiet time this morning and I was thinking about it’s application in my own life but also was considering some of the threads here that I have been reading and asked ‘ is the communication refreshing ‘ ‘ are the attitudes refreshing ‘ ………
‘ A generous man will prosper : and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed ‘
Proverbs 11:25

Do we refresh others …….
I was thinking about the opposite to refresh, to drain maybe !
It’s quite interesting to meditate on ……
Another possible opposite of "refresh" would be to "stagnate." Eww

Thats right my friend . We march onward in the LORD .
Looking forward to the promise of HIS Coming , new heavens and a new earth wherein dwells righteousness .
Where all lambs will one day be forever with the LORD . Now that sounds like paradise to me . OH WAIT IT IS .
LET the KING be praised , just a few more days in this life and this ol world and then ONE DAY WITH HIM FOREVER .
The LORD is with the lambs . What a wonderful home awaits the lambs .
2Pe 1:13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
2Pe 1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
2Pe 1:15 Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance.

Let's continue to stir each other onward brother-time is short-and many are "lukewarm"
Love you friend.

You might consider the identity of nominal Christian.

Not all Christians are what you encountered.
Brother-since I was a young lad-the Holy Spirit honed my discernment, to discern error from truth, to discern a fake from the genuine.
I trust my Lord Jesus wholly and my wife and no one else.
Might sound "harsh" to you and others but there you have it.
Speaking from experience-
Shalom
Johann.

The Holy Spirit leads you to trust only one person and himself?

I can't imagine the fear and tension, living like that.

My prayers go up for you both.
And I'm a sister :)

In my view, it's cowardly to restrict speech short and I'm not talking about threats of violence, pornography, or instructions on how to build a pipe bomb. I'm talking about expressing views that others dislike or that may actually be offensive. I've been participating in message boards for a wide array of topics from football, dogs, politics, religion, etc., and the two segments most quick to BAN speech are the political left and the religious right. Many sites list rules and one of the rules is a "catch-all" rule called "trolling", and when one expresses a view with which they disagree they claim "trolling" and then ban the supposed offender.

To me, a good moderator engenders discussion but, in my experience, most of them annihilate discussion. I suspect that some or "many" of them gain a sense of power by restricting and banning the speech of others. The result, of course, is that they drive away good posters and good discussion while they remain the big fish in their little pond.

By the way, this isn't a knock on any moderators here. I haven't encountered anything here that I would describe as censorship. Of course, this is a privately owned forum and management is obviously free to allow or disallow pretty much whatever they want, as long as it's lawful, of course. I'm just speaking in general terms about the vast majority of forums that I have visited.

I was just banned from a "Christian" forum because I very politely, and respectfully, expressed my disbelief in the Catholic teachings and beliefs regarding the Rosary. I relied on scripture and asked proponents of the Rosary to do the same. I didn't attack anyone. I wasn't impolite. I often prefaced my posts with "I believe...".

I had to take my elderly mother to her doctor. Upon arriving home I went to my thread about the Rosary and, to my disbelief, I was banned and the reason given was that I was a "troll". Never had a moderator ever contacted me about anything that I had ever posted there. There was never a need. And then, from out of the blue (so to speak), I was banned. My impression is that one of the senior moderators there is a Catholic and he could not tolerate my scripturally-backed views. Again, this wasn't a Catholic forum but a CHRISTIAN forum. To me, that is both sad (for him) and amazing to me. I cannot fathom the thought of banning a fellow believer (or anyone else) for simply expressing a view that I don't share. That's just incredible to me.

Ok. I got that off my chest. Thanks for reading. :)
Dear Patrick1966,
I've been posting on Christian Forums for around 10 years and I have been banned from every one of them except this one. I'm not sure of the number but it is probably around ten.

Just last week, I was just banned from one that I had been a member since 2014. The forum suddenly decided to prohibit any teaching on the Early and Latter Rains and all associated scripture. This even included Elijah's 3 1/2 years of drought since it begins with the Early Rain and ends with the Latter Rain.

Most of the forums banned me for teaching against the Trinity Doctrine but some banned me for teaching against the Doctrines of Free Will and Hell.

I am happy to find that this forum allows a much broader range of scripture to be taught here.

Good to know! You have a user name similar to a man who once lurked about here and I thought you were he.
o_O Glad you told me. I've read others refer to me as brother and let it go. I thought to say something this time.

I thought my name was unique and obviously feminine. Bummer dude! :p

This community is, BY FAR, the BEST for Christian discussion. It's INSANE that they would ban such a learned poster such as yourself. Banning people for expressing a different understanding of doctrine is just STUPID.

Dear Patrick1966,
Many forums only allow orthodox teaching so I can get past their user agreements.

The teachings of Orthodox Christianity come from the leavened bread taught in Mat 13:33. Most of the primary teachings of Orthodox Christianity have ZERO truth in them but some have a little. However, none are completely true. The whole loaf is leavened.

Most Christians still believe what they were taught in Sunday school. They view themselves as special and everyone else as being ignorant and evil and bound for an eternity in "Hell". Sharing God's word with them doesn't sway them. They don't believe the Bible; they believe what their Sunday school teacher taught them when they were four.

Dear Patrick1966,
You are right that they don't believe God's Word. The truth which scripture teaches is secondary to their pre-existing beliefs. They really don't have any faith in Christ. Their faith is actually in the god of this world who is deceiving them. This "lie" that they believe comes from the strong delusion of 2Thes 2.

Faith is not just believing that Jesus is the Christ and that He rose from the grave. Faith is also believing what Jesus says and trusting Him to accomplish all that He said He will do. That is the faith which Abraham displayed and it is the same type of faith that opens the door to the New Covenant of Grace BY FAITH. With that type of faith, Christ will come to a believer and pour out the Latter Rain and convert them.

With that said, I should mention that faith is a gift from God and is not something that a person inherently has. Faith must be given to them.

All believers are given a "measure" of faith when they receive the Early Rain and are called out from the world. If a believer is also chosen, Christ will later increase their faith and cause them to repent of their works. After this change from works to faith is complete, the pathway for Christ to "come again' to them will be made "straight".

The straight way is based upon faith. The crooked way is based upon the works of man.

Deceiving the saints with his "another gospel" (which mixes works with faith) is how Satan kills the saints. This is why scripture says that Satan is the crooked serpent and the destroyer.
